Chapter 10

‘What?’ Faith asked with widened eyes.

‘Yep.’ Hope said smiling.

‘How?’ Faith asked.

‘I need to stop thinking.’ Hope said.

‘So you DON’T know?’ Faith said.

‘Not really, but I need to stop thinking.’ Hope said.

‘You need to stop thinking?’ Faith said.

‘That’s what I just said duh, thank you captain obvious.’ Hope said.

‘Who told you that?’ Faith asked.

‘Godmother.’ Hope said.

‘Godmother? But she’s in our world.’ Faith said.

‘Oh I know.’ Hope said.

‘You’ve been in our world?’ Faith asked.

‘Nope.’ Hope said.

‘How could she tell you that then?’ Faith asked.

‘She told me that in my dream duh, how else?’ Hope said and she walked out of the room again downstairs to get breakfast.

‘Good morning.’ Hope said smiling as she sat down.

‘Morning.’ James said.

‘Why are you so cheerful?’ James asked taking a sip of his coffee.

‘Because I am cheerful.’ Hope said.

‘I think this is the first time I’ve seen you really smile, not the kind of forced smile.’ James said.

‘Thanks I think.’ Hope said laughing.

‘I don’t know.’ Hope heard Faith say behind her.

‘Hmm okay strange.’ Alice said and she sat down.

‘Good morning.’ Alice said.

‘Morning.’ James said.

‘Hope how did you sleep?’ Alice asked.

‘Like a baby.’ Hope said.

‘Great.’ Alice said with a weak smile.

‘Is there something going to happen today?’ Hope asked.

‘What do you mean?’ Alice asked.

‘Are you planning on doing something?’ Hope asked.

‘Not as far as I know….’ Alice said.

‘Okay.’ Hope said.

‘Can I maybe talk to you after breakfast?’ Alice asked.

‘Yeah sure.’ Hope said smiling.

After breakfast Alice took Hope with her to the garden. They walked through the snow and Alice stopped in front of a bench.

‘So Faith told me you knew how you could go back to your world.’ Alice said.

‘Well not exactly, but I know how we can get to that point.’ Hope said.

‘And how are you going to get to that point?’ Alice asked.

‘Not thinking about it.’ Hope said.

Alice raised her eyebrows.

‘Godmother told me.’ Hope said.

‘Yeah Faith told me something like that indeed.’ Alice said.

‘Can I go inside it’s freezing.’ Hope said.
