Once I saw a lily
I wanted to grab it
Bring it home with meCause I really like flowers
But it deserved to live freely
I just couldn't do it
It hurted my soul
So I let her be
I just moved alongMy heart skipped a beat
Once I looked backWith all I had I kept going
Never thought of it again
Later a rose came to me
That was the first time I felt free
I didn't know if I could
Not even if I shouldBut I kept that little rose
Took it home with me
Got her a vase and some water
Took good care of herAs she took care of me
With all the time that passed
We became good friendsShe was my companion and listener
She was all I had
Then one day I came home
And she was simply goneI cried all the tears in me
Never been hurt so deeply
Dear Rose I miss you
I wish you were here
Why did you leave me?
I can't take this anymore
Rose please come back
I Love you more than lifeI cried ever since
Never again did I smile
I never forgot that rose
A good friend of mine
