Dear Rose, (50)

3 3 0

Once I saw a lily
I wanted to grab it
Bring it home with me

Cause I really like flowers
But it deserved to live freely
I just couldn't do it
It hurted my soul
So I let her be
I just moved along

My heart skipped a beat
Once I looked back

With all I had I kept going

Never thought of it again

Later a rose came to me

That was the first time I felt free
I didn't know if I could
Not even if I should

But I kept that little rose
Took it home with me
Got her a vase and some water
Took good care of her

As she took care of me

With all the time that passed
We became good friends

She was my companion and listener

She was all I had
Then one day I came home
And she was simply gone

I cried all the tears in me

Never been hurt so deeply

Dear Rose I miss you

I wish you were here

Why did you leave me?

I can't take this anymore

Rose please come back
I Love you more than life

I cried ever since

Never again did I smile

I never forgot that rose

A good friend of mine

Cathy
