I've been back for about a week and it's officially the new year unfortunately Constable Kinslow was still out of town but expected to be back any day. Christmas break is over and school starts back up today, I missed the kids and teaching.

"Good morning class! How was your Christmas? Mine was great, I was in Hope Valley with my family." I told the children with a smile.  The children all took turns telling me about their Christmas and what they did. "Lets start out with math!" I said excited to make the children excited to learn. The first part of the day went by quickly now it was reading hour and for some reason it felt like it was dragging on, I already did all my paperwork that needed to be done and I worked on future lessons and I still had time before they would be done. I finally looked at the clock and it was time to dismiss school, "Alright children, please put your readers away for tomorrow when you do you may leave. Class is dismissed." I told the children, they did what they were told and soon they were gone.

I picked up my books and tidied up my desk when I was about to leave I saw a reader still sitting out, I sighed and put my things down to take care of it. "May I carry the teachers books?" I heard a voice say I had a huge smile on my face, I turned around to see a handsome man in red standing in front of the doors. I instantly ran over to him and jumped into his arms, I missed him so much. I smiled before kissing him, it's been a long 3 weeks without him. "I missed you, Adeline. I'm sorry I missed Christmas." He told me, "It's okay, I understand what the life of a Mounties woman is. I'm just glad your here and safe." I smiled before hugging him again, "Come on I want to hear everything about your time in Hope Valley." Gabriel said smiling as he grabbed my books and headed towards my house.
