"Space is a fascinating thing isn't it? When the sun sets and it's dark outside what do you usually see up in the sky?" I asked the classroom as we were going to be learning about Space for the next week. "Stars!" Rose yelled out, "The moon!" Paul said happily.

"Yes! We see all of those in the night sky almost every night. But do you know what stars are made of?" I asked the children they nodded their heads no. "Stars are giant spheres of superhot gas made up mostly of hydrogen and helium. Stars get so hot by burning hydrogen into helium in a process called nuclear fusion. This is what makes them so hot and bright." I explained to my class. "There are many different types of stars. Stars that are in their main sequence (normal stars) are categorized by their color. The smallest stars are red and don't give off much of a glow. Medium size stars are yellow, like the Sun. The largest stars are blue and are hugely bright. The larger the main sequence star, the hotter and brighter they are."  I smiled as I talked about the stars to them, "Dwarfs - Smaller stars are called dwarf stars. Red and yellow stars are generally called dwarfs. A brown dwarf is one that never quite got large enough for nuclear fusion to occur. A white dwarf is the remnants of the collapse of a red giant star.Giant stars may be main sequence stars like a blue giant, or stars that are expanding like red giants. Some supergiant stars are as big as the entire Solar System! Neutrons - A neutron star is created from the collapse of a giant star. It's very tiny, but very dense." I finished explaining about the stars for today. "Tomorrow we're going to learn about the moon and a very special comet named Halley's Comet! Which by this weekend we should see but learn more about that later!  It's reading hour please take our your books and turn to chapter 11." I told the class and they did as I told them.

I walked into town with the class as they hopped and skipped along it was another beautiful spring afternoon the the sun growing wamer by each passing day. I smiled when I saw Gabriel he smiled back before going back to talking to a fellow Mountie, the town still filled with them but Gabriel said they would be leaving tomorrow morning.  "Alright children, I need to be going home. But do your homework!" I said as the children ran off leave me there giggling at them.

"Adeline!" I heard my name I turned around to see Gabriel and Joshua walking over. "Hi." I smiled at the two Mounties who were standing in front of me. "Would it be okay if Josh joined us for dinner? I figured he could use a home cooked meal before heading off." Gabriel said happily, "Of course! I was planning on making some lemon basil chicken and maybe some lemonade too. Be home by 5."  I smiled leaning in to kiss Gabriel's cheek before I turned to walk home. "You got yourself a good one, Gabe." I heard Josh say to Gabriel, "Yes I do. She's one of a kind." He said back with made me chunkle.

Soon 5 rolled around and I heard two man walking towards the front door laughing and talking about who knows what. I finished squeezy the last lemon for the lemonade as the door opened and they walked in, one still in uniform the other not. "Smells amazing, Mrs Kinslow." Josh said as Gabriel hung his hat. "Thank you and please it's Adeline." I told the man who just nodded this head. "Im gonna change real quick." Gabriel said before giving me a kiss, "Okay hurry up dinner is gonna get cold." I said as he walked off to our room. "Gabriel talks so much about you. I've never seen him so happy before." Josh told me as Gabriel disappeared around the corner. "He's a good man who has a good heart that's why I love him so much." I smiled at Josh as we took a seat at the table.

I was laughing as I was dancing around with Josh, Gabriel sat at the table chunkling as he watched us but soon the song ended which left us standing still chunkling as we tried to catch our breath from dancing so much. It was getting late and I said goodnight to the man and wish Josh safe travels before I headed to bed, it wasn't long before Gabriel joined me. "Your worried about him aren't you?" I asked Gabriel as he pulled me into his arms. "I am. Josh is like a brother to me, we spent every moment together in the academy had each other's back." Gabriel told me as I felt my eyes getting heavy. "If he's half as good as you, he'll be okay." I said before a yawn over came me and I closed my eyes, "Goodnight." I said before slipping into sleep.

Gabriel and I both woke up early to say our last goodbye to Joshua before he and his team headed for the Northern Territories. "It was wonderful to meet you, Joshua. I hope everything goes well for you." I said before we hugged, "It was nice to meet you too. Thank you for everything last night I really enjoyed myself." He smiled before walking over to Gabriel, "Take care, Gabriel. I'll see you after this fight is over." Joshua said before the two hugged, which made me smile. "Stay safe up there, from what I heard it's pretty bad." Gabriel said as they pulled apart. "Its our job to keep the public safe and that's what we gonna do." Joshua smiled before walking off towards his horse and hopped on. He looked back at us and smiled, "Mounties move out!" He ordered as they all headed out of town.

"Halley’s Comet is a periodic comet. It returns to the earth’s vicinity about every 75 years. This comet is named after an English astronomer Edmond Halley. Edmond Halley observed it in 1682 and examined the reports of this comet approaching earth in 1531, 1607 and 1682. He confirmed that they are not three different comets. It is a periodic comet that is approaching earth again and again which it is  this weekend! So everything right before you go to bed make sure to look outside to the south and maybe if it's a clear night you'll see it. Happy Friday everyone class is dismissed!" I smiled as they all took off for the door which made me smile.

Saturday rolled around which was busy, Gabriel was working and I was busy helping at the orphanage. But that night I made sure to look for the comet but it wasn't there hopefully tomorrow.

Sunday was good we went to church and had lunch with Lillian, Grace, and their children. Now we were back home and I was reading and Gabriel was sitting besides me, "You are very quiet today. What's on your mind?" I asked closing my book and sitting up more. "I'm just thinking about Josh, I'm worried about him. The Mounties are taking a hard hit up there, Adeline." He told me, "I know. I say a prayer for him every night." I smiled before put my head on his shoulder. "I do too. I just hope he's alright." Gabriel smiled before turning to hug me, "I love you, Gabriel." I smiled telling my husband. "I love you too." He said before kissing my forehead still holding me in his arms. Soon day turned night, I made Gabriel come out to look for the comet with me.

"I'll be right back." Gabriel said with a small smile before walking away, "Hurry up, you could miss it!" I said as he headed inside. The next thing I hear is music playing from inside the house and Gabriel walking out with a smile.  "May I have this dance?" He asked holding out his hand, I smiled at his thoughtfulness and nodded. "Gabriel do you ever think about how life would be like if we didn't meet?" I asked as we danced around our front yard. "Yeah I do. I'd probably be here still, lonely, single, and trying to keep busy with work." Gabriel told me, "But you did come and I fell in love with the most amazing person I've ever met and I'm lucky I can call her my wife." Gabriel said which made me smile, "I love you so much, Gabriel Kinslow." I smiled before I put my head on his chest as we continued to dance.  "Adeline look!" Gabriel said excitedly pointing towards the sky I looked up to see Halley's Comet passing by it was more amazing then I thought. We watched until we couldn't see it anymore, but it was a truly amazing sight.
