Gabriel helped me off the stagecoach as we arrived back in Brookfield from our honeymoon, it was to San Francisco and enjoyed every moment there.  "That was fun don't get we wrong but city life isn't for me." Gabriel said with a chuckle as we walked to my house were we would live until we built our house.

"I was thinking the same thing. I'm too much of a country gal." I said chuckling along with Gabriel. "Its good to be back home, here in Brookfield." I said with a smile as we walked out of the town, "I couldn't agree more. There really is no place like home." Gabriel smiled it's still wild to me that we're married.

Soon we arrived back home and we saw that there was a lot of yard work thar needed to be done, there was a bad storm that came through which left lots tree branches and leafs everywhere. Bilzzed happily welcomed us home, especially Gabriel.

I was working on unpacking our bags and things we bought when Gabriel came in and hugged me from behind which made me smile. "I'm gonna go start cleaning up the yard." Gabriel said still hugging me, "Alright. I'll be out to wash clothes in a little bit." I smiled turning to face him still with his arms holding me. Gabriel just smiled before leaning in and gave me a kiss, "I love you." Gabriel smiled looking me in the eyes. "I love you." I smiled back at my husband which he returned back before heading out the bedroom door and a second later I heard the door close I just smiled before continuing on.

Soon everything was unpacked and now I need to wash our clothes so I headed out with my basket of clothes and headed to the side yard where I kept the wash board for the summer. I smiled as I saw my husband busy moving the branches, he smiled back before continuing on.

"I could listen to your voice forever." Gabriel said with made me jump out of my zone, "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He said trying not to laugh. "Don't laugh Gabriel Kinslow!" I said trying not to smile, "Don't smile Mrs Kinslow." He said before we both started to laugh. "How's yard work coming along?" I said before standing up with my basket of wet clean clothes, "Good still probably be a few more hours though." He smiled, "Okay. I'll start dinner once I'm done with hanging up the clothes." I smiled at him. "Alright. Love you." Gabriel smiled before walking off. "Love you too!" I yelled out to him with a chuckle.

10 minutes later I was done hanging up the laundry and I quickly headed inside to make dinner, shepherds pie sounded pretty good me too. "This is delicious, Adeline. Thank you." Gabriel said before taking another bite. "Thank you. Are you excited to get back to work tomorrow?" I asked before I drank some of my water, "Yes. You know I don't like sitting still too long." Gabriel said which made me laugh a bit. "Oh I know." I smiled at the man sitting across from me. "What are you going to do?" Gabriel asked, "I'm not sure. I'll probably work some school lessons and maybe go to the orphanage and see the girls." I told him with a smile. Married life was off to a good start and as for me I couldn't be happier, I was in love and married to a wonderful man.

Gabriel was up and gone before I was even was awake he was very excited to get back to work, spring break is this week so I don't have to worry about school. I grabbed my shaw and covered up walking out to the kitchen to make some coffee, it wasn't still I poured my coffee that I saw a note on the table.

"Good morning my beautiful wife,

I'm at my office I wanted to get an early start to my day, please stop by I would love to see you soon. Be safe in all you do today, I love you.

Gabriel"

I smiled at the note he had wrote me he was always a sweet thoughtful man and was blessed to have him. I finished my coffee and made myself some breakfast, there wasn't much to eat since we're were gone for a couple of weeks i really needed to get groceries. I got dressed, fed Sergeant, and grabbed my basket and headed for town. It was definitely a beautiful spring day as I walked to into town which put a smile on my face. I looked to see if Gabriel was at his office but I didn't see Apollo so he wasn't there, "Adeline!" I heard a very familiar voice say, "Grace!" I smiled as we met in the middle for a hug. "How was your trip?" She asked with a smile, "Wonderful. I have something for you I'll bring it with me next time I come into town." I told her which made her smile, "Thank you! I really should be going Lillian is by herself and the children are wild today." She said which made me laugh, "Have fun." I told her which made her laugh before she walked off headed towards the orphanage.

I was getting groceries at Joe's there was a long list of things I needed to get. I was looking for green beans when pearl called me over to the door standing by her was Joe. "Does Gabriel know what's going on?" She asked as Joe moved to reveal a town full of Mounties at least 30 of them, I've never seen so many before. "No, I don't believe so." I said still watching until I saw one who looked very familiar, who was talking to another Mountie. "Joe, I'll be right back." I told him as he nodded his head.

"Gabriel what's going on? Is everything okay?" I asked walking up to him worried, "Joshua, this is Adeline, my wife." Gabriel said with a smile, "You're married?! I thought you would never settle down." Joshua smiled at Gabriel. "Well that all changed when I found this beautiful woman." Gabriel smiled which made me, "I'll let you to talk. I'll see you around Gabe." He said before walking off, "Why are there 30 Mounties in Brookfield?" I asked still worried. "Josh is leading them up to the northern territories, its getting bad up there Adeline. They're passing through Brookfield before heading there." He explained to me, "It's getting bad up there again? My dad fought to make it a safer place." I explained to him, "Unfortunately yes it is, this time worse. They need every man they can spare." Gabriel said me as he looked around at all the uniforms in town. "But your not going right?" I asked worried about him leaving, "No, I'm staying here with you in Brookfield." Gabriel said pulling me into a hug which made me feel better.
