"Its been one week since my beautiful Timothy was born and I couldn't be happier to finally be able to hold him in my arms. It's crazy to think that Gabriel as been gone over 10 months, everyday without him feels like forever. I hope and pray he'll come home soon."
"Everyone loves him!" I laughed as I walked down main street with my mother who chunkled. "Its because he's absolutely adorable." She smiled as her grandson who was in the stroller looking back at her. "He's so small!" She said still looking at him. "6 pounds 12os." I smiled at him as well. "I should be heading back, he's probably starting to get hungry." I said to my mother, "I'll be home soon, just gotta get some things from the mercantile first." I nodded my head before heading back to the house.
I feed Timothy and then put him to sleep he was getting quite tired and definitely needed a nap. There was a knock on the door and it was today's newspaper I don't usually read it but the headline caught my attention 'War in the Northern Territories is coming to a head' I instantly turned to read more about it. The door opened and my mother walked in to see my crying, "Adeline! What's wrong?" She sat down besides me "The battle's coming to a head in the Northern Territories. There's a fierce fight going on, and the Mounties have had a lot of casualties." I told her crying unable to stop myself "Oh, Adeline. It's going to be okay." My mother said pulling me into a hug. "I hope so. I can't lose Gabriel." I said crying more but trying to be quiet so I didn't wake up my son. The rest of the day dragged on and I didn't sleep much that night, partly because of Timothy the other because I was worried about Gabriel. He had to come home. He had to meet his son.
Sorry it's super short today but I promise the next one is going to make up for it! Thanks!
