I woke up to the sun hitting my face like it does everything morning, though it was highly annoying I missed it. I picked out my favorite dress and pu my hair up into a bun and headed out to see my horse. "Hey, Sergeant." I said coming in, he looked right around to see me he let out a small nicker. "It's so good to see you." I said giving him a hug, I grabbed his hay and filled up his water. I was closing the barn door, when I heard something again in the woods this time it sounded like footsteps coming at me. "Hello?" I quickly yelled out half scared hoping it was Grace playing around with me. I listened for a second before hurrying to the door but what I saw next scared me more than I've ever been before. "Well hello here, pretty lady." The man said with a gun in his hand. "What do you want?!" I asked him as my voice trembled in fear. "You're going to help me get that Mountie of yours off my back." He chuckle. "I will never help you!" I told him, "You will or you'll never see him again." He said cleaning his gun.
I'm just gonna do the rest of the chapter in 3rd person cause I think it will be easy that way soooo yaaaa.
Grace happily walked up to her friends door glad to be finally catching up with her. She knock on the door but nobody came, she thought that was weird but she knocked again but still nobody came to the door. Fearing the worst she opened the door, "Adeline!" She yelled in, nothing. She looked though the house and couldn't find her, she thought it was wired once again but maybe she forgot. She looked in the barn to see Sargent eating his hay, "Where is she?" Grace asked the horse. The next place she might be was the school so she headed off to the school.
"Adeline?" She asked opening the school/church door, she looked in and didn't see anyone. She looked in the whole building and there was a sigh of her. She ran to town and looked in a few more places and didn't find her there, fearing the worst she ran to Mounties office. "Gabriel!" Grace said running in out of breath, Lilian saw Grace running around and than head for Gabriel's office confused she ran over to make sure everything was good. "Everything okay, Grace?" Gabriel asked as Lillian came in behind her, "It's Adeline... I can't find her anywhere." Grace said before taking another gasp for air, "What do you mean?" Lillian asked her sister, Gabriel jumped out of his chair and walked over to grace. "What do you mean you can't find her?" Gabriel asked, "We were supposed to get together and catch up but when in walked over I couldn't find her anywhere, not in her house, not in the barn, and not in the school." Grace told him, Gabriel didn't say anything but ran out and jumped on his horse and galloped to her house. He jumped off and ran to her house and didn't find her in there, he ran to the barn and didn't see her in there either. He was going about to jump on his horse when he saw a white piece of paper thowing in the wind. He walked over to it and picked it up,
"Bring me a horse, food, and 1,000 dollars and stop tracking me or you'll never see the girl again. You know where I'll be, 1 hour starts now" Gabriel knew instantly who it was, Ron hunter, the fugitive he's been looking for. He had one hour to bring him what he wanted or he'll kill Adeline.
"Your Mountie better hurry. He has 40 minutes left." Ron told her, "You'll be sorry that you ever did this." Adeline told him. "We'll see." He winked at her "Let me tell you two things you should never do.... mess with a Mountie, or mess with a Mounties girl." Adeline told him as she tried to untie the rope that was around her hands.
"Chuck!" Gabriel said jumping off his horse, "Everything okay?" Chuck asked his friend. "I need your help, I'll tell you on the way." Chuck nodded his head and jumped on the nearest horse and they both took off. "So how does he know about, Adeline?" Chuck asked as they were on the way, "I don't know, she's been gone for the last few months my only guess is that he's been following me." Gab told him.
"10 minutes. It's a shame that Mountie would let such a beautiful girl go." Ron said putting his hand on his face. "Get away of me." Ad ordered him, "What a fiery spirit you have." Ron said laughter. Five more minutes went by and Adeline was giving up on any hope she had left, she always thought that if she was ever in danger he would come but maybe she was wrong. "Ron Hunter!" Adeline heard Gab yell, Ron quickly walked over to the window. He walked back over to Adeline and untied her, "Come with me." He said grabbing her arm, "I have your girl, Mountie!" Ron yelled out, "Let her go!" Gab said walking around the corner of the tree. "If you let me walk out of here with what I asked for and I'll let this beautiful girl go." Ron said with a chuckle and looked at her. "Fine. Just let her go." Gab told him, Adeline looked over to her left and saw chuck coming behind them. The next thing she knew Chuck and Gab where putting him in strains.
Tears falling down Adeline's face, she hugged Chuck. She after dealing with the fugitive, Gab came over to her she practically jumped into his arms. "I'm so sorry." Gab said to her, "Can you just get me home." Adeline told him, "Yeah. Chuck will have to get you there." He told her, she nodded her head. Chuck jumped on his horse and Adeline jumped up behind him and they took off.
