Chapter 23

I walked over to the hotel to see to that Ronny was head over heals in work. "Ronny, where's Grace?" I asked as he ran around to different tables. "One of her kids is sick and Laura has the day off." He told me. She never told me that. "Oh. Well do you need help?" I asked, he stopped at looked back at me. "Do you have experience?" He asked. "A little bit." I smiled telling him. "Good enough." He said handing me trey full of plates.

Soon noon cane rolling around and it got quite busy, I was running around taking orders, delivering orders, and checking people into the hotel. I heard the door opened and I saw two Mounties walk in. I smiled once I saw Gabriel. I finished checking in the guests. "Good afternoon, gentlemen. What can i get you?" I asked getting out a pen and paper. "What are you here, Ad?" Jack asked. "Ronny needed help, so I offered to help." I told him with smile. "So what can I get you?" I asked again. I took their orders and put it in the kitchen. I came back out to help another guest that came and sat down.

"Here you go." I said giving Jack and Gabriel their food. "Thank you." Gabriel smiled at me, I smiled back. "You're welcome." I told him. "I promised Ronny I would help him for the day, I was wondering if I could get a ride home?" I asked Gabriel, "I'd love too." He smiled, "Thank you." I smiled. "Adeline!" Ronny yelled, "Ill be right there!" I yelled back, "I'll see you two later." I said be before running off. The two shared a look before laughing

"Thank you for your help today, Adeline. I don't know what I would today I didn't have your help" Ronny told me. "I'm glad I could help. And if you need any help while Grace is gone you where to find me." I smiled. Just than a last minute guest came in, "I'll take care of it." I told him before walking off. I checked the guest in, I went to find Ronny when I heard gun shots going off. I ran to the front door, "Gabriel! Jack!" I said running out to see both them were okay. Gabriel walked in the jail and put someone behind bars while i walked over to Jack, and give him a hug. "I'm glad your okay." I told him as we hugged, he pulled me out. "I'll always be careful, Ad." He smiled, we both looked over to see Gabriel looking over at us. I walked across the street to him. "Sometimes I forgot you dodge bulles for a living." I said with a chuckle, "You and me both." He chuckled back. He leaned in and give me a kiss and of course I kissed him back. "I still need that ride back home." I said with laugh as he pulled away, "Come on." He jumped on Apollo and than I jumped ok with his help and we went off home.

"Thank you." I smiled as I got off, "Anything for the person I love." He smiled before riding off. I smiled at myself before heading in.
