JOURNEY WITH SAF ACADEMY

DREAMS OF YESTERDAY..

So, now that Monami has agreed to become Kabir's assistant, he hands her a bunch of books to study from and make notes. She has the deadline of a week. So, along with her other subjects she also has to study this. But this is not a big deal, she has had tonnes of more to do in her Med school. The Cadets are getting ready for their NGO visit. But this visit was unfortunately cancelled because the NGO changed the visitation guidelines due to increasing cases of COVID-19. So, the time they would spend in the NGO will be spent in the academy. FREE PERIOD!!!

Monami was in her room, making notes from the books. The other Cadets were also completing their assignments, except for Sid. He was just roaming around. He thinks of going to his Monu Bro. He enters the room to find Monami stuck between a stack of books with her specs on. 

' What the hell...Monu. Are tu Med School se graduate ho chuki hai. Books leke kyu baithi hai? ' he said while jumping on her bed. She turns towards him and tells him about being Kabir's Assistant. 

' Wow Monu, tum log apni life ke goals itne jaldi kaise decide kar lete ho. Mai to dhang se sirf beer chose kar sakta hoo' he aid while laughing. 

Monami took off her specs and went to sit on the bed beside Sid,

' Sid, tujhe kya lagta hai, tere pass koi sapna koi goal nahi hai? No. Tu galat sochta hai. Tujhe bachpan se drones pasand hai. Tujhe duniya ko uchaayi se dekhna pasand hai. Tujhe udna pasand hai. Teri nazron ke saamne tera sapna hai. Tu ise accept kyu nahi kar raha hai?? ' She said while taking his hand in her hand. Her eyes showed belief in the Sid whom she has known for years. Someone who falters at every single thing but still is the best person she has ever known. He has never taken his Father's money for granted. The Sid who was so used to staying alone that he would cry alone in a corner. Until Monu came in his life. 

' Monu, mai uss dream pe give up kar chuka hoo. And above all Daddy ji kabhi nahi manenge. Unka business. I'm not fit for anything. Mujhe unki aakho me kabhi mere liye appreciation nahi dikhi ' he said while taking his hand away. 

She cupped his face and said, 

' To meri aankho me dekh'. 

SID's POV:  Nobody is born with a dream. Kuch logo ko unke sapne unke haath me thama diye jaate hai aur kuch logo ko zindagi bhar pata nahi chal pata ki wo kya karna chahte hai. Par Sapne kaise bante hai, ye kabhi koi nahi batata. Mere liye life ka meaning hamesha bhot simple raha hai. PARTY! Iske alawa kabhi aur kuch sochne ki zaroorat hi nahi padi. 

Mere 8 room ke ghar me jaha 8 log reh sakte hai waha sirf mai rehta hoo, 10 chairs ke dining table pe mai akela khana khata hoo. Lekin, I am happy. Atleast I used to be. Tab tak jab tak mujhe ye nahi pata tha ki Parents aapke liye best karte hai kyuki wo aapse ' BEST' expect karte hai. Jab aap unki conditions ko fulfill karte ho to aap achcha bachche, isiliye mai apne Daddyji ke liye kabhi achcha beta nahi ban paoonga. Huhh. Monu ko hi dekh lo. Walnut uncle ki har baat maani, par uske baad bhi unki nazron me wo ab bhi weak hai. Mere Dad ki nazron me mai shayad sirf ek disappointment hoo. No wonder!! 

Par mujhe bhi life me ek baar aisa laga tha ki ' yeh ' mera sapna hai. I WANT TO DO THIS. Par tab ek simple statement ki ' tumse ye nahi ho payega Sid. You are not made for this ' broke me. Tab corner me chup chup ke rone wala ladka, khule aam roya. Mai school ke kisi bhi kone me chup jau, Monu would find me. Pata nahi kaise par use hamesha pata hota tha mai kaha hoo. Aur mai usse chup chup ke rota tha. Kyuki koi aur aapke aansu poche wo feeling kaisi hoti hai mujhe nahi pata tha. Monu ke aane tak. Jab pehli baar wo mujhe dhoondhte hue School ke khaali science lab me aayi thi, tab usne mujhse koi sawaal nahi kiya, nahi pucha mujhse ki mai kyu ro raha hoo, ye bhi nahi kaha ki mai ladka hoo aur mujhe aise rona nahi chaiye, bas mere pass baith gayi, aur mera sar uske kandhe pe rakh diya. Uska haath mere sir pe tha aur pata nahi kyu mera rona ruka hi nahi. Mere aasuon se uski uniform gili ho gayi thi par usne bas yahi kaha,
