Chapter 4

(A/N: ok has anyone ever told you how hard it is to do Oluo's character-? Like I have no clue how he talks or what to make him say 💀)

We were cleaning for HOURS and the castle still wasn't up to his expectations. What the hell was this man? Like the god of cleaning supplies?!

I entered the room to see the captain scrubbing at a place on the floor that seemed to be clean already.

"I've finished the bathroom captain.." I said as I cringed at the horrible memories of it.

"Good, you take over in here and I'll see how well you did." He said as he threw a sponge at me and walked out.

I sighed and did as he said, I started scrubbing down a desk that was covered in a layer of dirt, I looked around the room, it seemed to be an office. "Will this be the captains quarters?" I thought to myself as I looked at a bed at the side of the room which confirmed my suspicions.

My arms and legs were killing me so I decided he would mind if I sat down for a minute right? I set on the edge of the bed and closed my eyes. I flopped backwards onto the bed with my legs still dangling off the side and looked at the ceiling.

I was most have closed my eyes or fell asleep because the next thing I remember I saw the captains face over mine.

"Why are you on my bed." He said

I could feel his weight ontop of me so I shoved him to the side of me and sat up.

"Sorry sir my legs and arms are just killing me." I said

"The way you shoved me doesn't tell me your arms hurt." He said

Only then did I look to see I had shoved him all the way across the bed.

"Anyway, good work on your cleaning the bathroom was actually spotless." He said

"Thanks sir, but where will I be sleeping? I've checked and there isn't enough room for all of us to have a room each and well.." I said, "everyone else already kinda claimed their rooms-"

"All the other rooms only have a single bed enough to fit 1 person, mines a double so I guess your with me." He said with a lot of annoyance in his voice

"Wait I was going to sleep in the same room as him-? In the same bed?!"
I mentally screamed.

"Go run me a bath will you?" He asked as he grabbed one of his bags from the floor, "I already got your bags from downstairs."

I nodded and walked into the bathroom that was connected to the room.

"Make sure it isn't cold." He shouted after me.

I turned the water on and started filling up the bath with hot water,

When I came back into the room he was putting away his things, so I decided to do the same. After a few minutes I went and turned off the bath, then came back in.

"The bath is run Captain." I said as I went back to my bags and continued to put my things away.

"Thank you soldier." He said as he took off his harness and put it on a chair

"I don't know why you decide to call me solider." I said turning to him, "I have a name, and by the way you knew my surname I take it you know my first name too."

"I do." He replied as he disappeared into the bathroom.

"Fucking hell he's an ass." I thought to myself as I continued to unpack my things from my bag.

After 30 minutes he came out, his hair was wet and the grey shirt he was wearing clung to his body slightly. The captain looked at me then told me to go get a bath myself before sitting down on his bed.

I ran myself a hot bath, took my mask off and got in, I washed my hair and body then got dressed into my casual which consisted on a light blue top that was long-sleeved and some black bottoms.

After I put my mask back on, I walked back into the room to see that Levi was gone, it was around time for food so I went to the kitchen because that's where I assumed everyone else was.

When I arrived everyone was already sat at the table eating their food, I didn't bother getting myself anything to eat because I wasn't hungry.

I sat between Petra and the captain and listened to the banter being exchanged.

"I hope next time you bite your tongue you bleed out." Said Petra directed at Oluo.

"Nonsense my dear Petra," he replied, "a man quite like myself wouldn't die from such a stupid reason."

"You- don't normally talk like this."

"Eh? What ever do you mean."

"You know exactly what I mean, you don't normally talk like... this."

"What?! I always talk like thi-" Oluo bit his tongue.

"Oluo how haven't you bitten your tongue off yet?" I asked.

"Cram it masky," he replied, "How do we know you don't have no tongue? We can't see your mouth."

"You'd think having no tongue would effect my speech?" I said

I could tell Oluo didn't know what else to say, because after that he shut his mouth. After that, we all fell into a comfortable conversation with each other, well everyone except for Levi, he was just sat there the whole time drinking his tea.

"Ash your not going to eat anything?" Asked Petra

"No, I ate earlier." I lied to her,

I then looked at the captain and nudged Petra in the shoulder, she looked at me and I gestured to the captains weird way of holding his cup.

I snickered to myself trying not to make it obvious, clearly it didn't work.

"Pearl, your going to bed early." Said the captain

"Huh?!"

"You heard me."

"What?! I'm a grown ass man!"

"Then start acting like one." Said Levi as he got up and dragged me to our shared room. When we got there he tossed me onto the bed and sat down at his desk.

"Go to sleep." He commanded me

"Tsk." I did as he said and got under the covers to go to sleep, I could faintly see Levi due to a small oil lamp on his desk.

"Are you really going to bed with that stupid mask on?" He asked me

"Yes." I replied as I turned over and let sleep consume me.
