Chapter 52

Soon enough someone else was spotted flying near us. At first I thought it was Levi but they didn't move like him at all.

"Wait that's not- oh shit!" Gunther shouted.

The person flew at Gunther and sliced across his body with one swift movement.

My eyes widened as he hit against a tree and didn't move.

"Gunther you okay?! Talk to me!" Eren yelled approaching him.

I was in close proximity to Gunther since I had hit him earlier, I already knew he was dead.

"No Eren stay back!" I shouted.

I saw the person coming round again, I drew my blades as they seemed to charge at us.

"Shit-" I said as I lost sight of them in the trees.

"Ash look out!" Someone shouted.

Suddenly there was a great impact on my back and I was sent flying into a tree. My vision blurred as I hit it but I managed to land on a branch not far below.

My head was spinning as I fell onto my hands and knees. Every part of my body ached, I wiped away some of the blood trickling down my face and shakily stood up.

Everything was blurry around me, I was about to start flying when I saw the person close by me.

Suddenly, there was a flash of yellow light. The force of the heat threw me against the tree once more as the wind produced by the explosion burnt me slightly.

Once the light subsided and the newly formed titan ran off I hooked onto the branch I was on before and climbed onto it.

I wasn't able to stay conscious any longer as I fell onto my front and my vision went dark.

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulders. My eyes opened slowly as a loud ringing sound echoed through my ears.

When my eyes finally focused it was Levi that was shaking me. He looked relieved when I looked at him.

"Oh thank fuck.." he muttered, "what happened? Can you hear me?"

"The female titan came after us.." I mumbled, "she killed Gunther and hit me into a tree. Then she transformed, I got hit by the blast and I blacked out."

"That will explain the burns then."

"Where is everyone?"

"Well I saw Gunther but I'm not sure about everyone else." Levi said.

"Let's go find them."

"Can you stand?"

"Yeah.." I muttered as I stood up.

Every part of my body ached and my head was spinning but I got up anyway. I wiped some blood away from my forehead and flew alongside Levi.

The ground below me was littered with bodies, Eld's upper half laid in the grass, his legs nowhere to be seen. Oluo's deceased body laid on his front soaking the grass with blood.

And lastly, Petra leaned up against a tree. The moment I saw her I began to cry silently. I stopped just above her and stared down at her not knowing what to do or say.

"Let's keep going." Levi muttered.

I nodded and wiped my tears before following him to where presumable the female titan was. On our arrival we saw a girl who looked strangely like Levi.

"Get back here!" The girl shouted at the titan before Levi grabbed her.

"We stay back for now." Levi said to her.
