Chapter 12

I awoke to the sun above me blinding me momentarily. I turned and was met by Levi laid next to me, holding onto what was left of my jacket tightly.

I went to move but was met by pain causing me to groan. I guess Levi heard it because he sprung up from where he was laying, wiped his face and looked at me with his normal expression.

"Don't try to move, we're on a wagon right now going back to the walls." He said

"What happened..?"

"An abnormal almost killed you, it hit you out of the air onto the floor." He said

"Did you kill that fucker?"

"Of course I did."

"Fuck yeah!" I shouted sitting up but immediately went back down in a lot of pain.

"I told you not to move!"

"I'm sorry!"

"You always ruin the moment."

"I try my best to ruin it."

"Mhmm.." Levi hummed as he sat next to me.

"Captain?"

"Call me Levi when we're alone, calling me by my titles a bit tedious."

"Okay, Levi I have a question."

"Hm?"

"Why me?"

"Huh?"

"Why risk your ass just to save me? I saw how that titan almost hit you."

"Because I love you."

"Love?!"

"You heard me."

I could feel my face burn red when he said that.

"Your blushing." He said

"No I'm not! It's.. hot out here! Have you seen that sun??" I shouted in protest.

I heard laughing then "you seem to be back to yourself."

I looked to the side to see Petra on her horse riding beside the wagon. I nodded and smiled at her, of which she smiled back.

"Did you see how badass I was though?"

"Badass? You were screaming like a little girl." Said Petra

"I was not!"

"Was too! You screamed as soon as that thing grabbed you!"

"And I had every right to scream! But I did not sound like a little girl!" I shouted then went into a coughing fit.

When I finished Petra said:

"I think I'll leave you to rest, if the captain doesn't take care of you I'll get hange on him."

"What can hange do?"

"Annoy the fuck out of him."

"Good point."

"Exactly, now go to sleep or something." Said Petra as she rode away.

"If she gets Hange on me, I'll end them both."

"I know you will." I said as I cuddled up to him, making sure to mind my injuries.

"I will." He said.

"Levi?"

"Hm?"

"How long was I out for?"

"A couple hours, after you blacked out I went and grabbed you, then I forced the commander to call off the mission so I could take you home and make sure your okay."
