Chapter 28

The next thing I knew, I woke up to shouting and someone stood over me. I looked and saw that the sun was setting with an orange hue on the horizon.

"We really slept that long-?" I thought to myself as it was midday when we came here.

"Ash?! Levi?! What are you doing here?! Why didn't you come back?!" Shouted Hange.

I noticed that Levi was still asleep somehow so I covered his ears and shushed Hange. He needed the extra sleep.

"We just lost track of time." I said to her as I lifted the cape away from us, and began buckling Levi's belt.

"Oooh~" cooed Hange as she saw the hickeys on Levi's neck.

"Shut up." I mumbled as I buttoned up his shirt then put his jacket, boots and cape on him.

I then buckled up my belt, put my boots, cape and odm gear on then picked up Levi bridle style, making sure to rest his head against me.

"Grab his gear." I said to Hange, "he needs more sleep."

She nodded and picked up his gear, I weaved through the trees in the forest being careful not to hit Levi's legs on anything since they were just kinda dangling from the side.

Levi stirred in his sleep when I almost tripped over a rock, he groaned and gripped onto the fabric of my shirt tightly.

He nuzzled into me and sighed, going back to sleep as I continued walking, being more careful this time.

When I reached the base, Petra fucking ran at me.

"What happened?! Where were yo-" she shouted before her eyes landed on Levi, and probably the hickeys, "oh-" She said slowly backing away.

I felt embarrassed and excused myself, I scaled the tree being careful not to drop or jolt Levi awake.

When I reached the branch, I removed Levi's boots placing them down and rested him on the hammock.

Hange scaled the tree plopping down Levi's gear next to his boots. The sound of the metal hitting the tree woke him up.

Levi slowly sat up in the hammock, Hange ran away probably not wanting to be beat by him and flew to where her squad was.

Levi looked around disoriented, when his eyes landed on his gear, his eyes widened. His hand flew to his neck as he started down his reflection in the cold metal.

"Ash!" He shouted, "Again?! Really?!"

"Shut up, you were enjoying it!" I protested.

"So?! I don't want people to know we fucked in the forest yet your leaving hickeys everywhere?!"

"I'm sorry okay?!"

Levi sighed saying, "this is what happens when you think with your dick instead of your head." Before laying back down.

He reached out tugging on my cape, I sighed knowing what he wanted and climbed into the hammock with him.

I moved his arm to go under me, and placed my arm over his chest, resting my head in the crook of his neck.

The arm that was under me wrapped around my back and rested on my waist, I shuffled closer to him and began to drift off to sleep.

I heard the sound of someone walking on the branch, then stopping near our gear. I looked up to see a silhouette of someone pick a stick up.

I didn't know who it was, but I assumed it was someone from the squad to I just went to sleep.

When I awoke, Levi was awake still laid under me. I lifted my eyes to see him looking up at the sky. I was captivated, not wanting to look away for a second.
