Chapter 20

When we arrived home, levi took off his gear and took me immediately up to our room. He shoved me into the bathroom and began running a bath. He then started searching under the sink until he pulled out a medkit.

"Strip and get in." He said when the bath was run.

I nodded and followed the instructions. I felt a bit embarrassed but what's new? I'm always fucking embarrassed of everything.

He turned around and his eyes trailed down my body, looking at every bruise, cut and newly forming scars on my blood covered body. He got a sponge and began cleaning all the blood off.

"I can do this myself you know!" I said

"I know, but I'd rather me do it."

I huffed as he began disinfecting the wounds. I yelped in pain from the stinging and grabbed onto Levi's sleeve tightly.

"Don't grab me you'll get my clothes wet!" He shouted.

That gave me an idea, so I pulled on his sleeve making him fall into the bath. He sat on his knees and faced me his clothes now soaking wet.

"Ash!" He shouted

"You're already wet, might aswell take your clothes off." I said.

Levi just stared at me wide-eyed and only then did I realize how that sounded.

"No I didn't mean it like that!" I shouted.

"Tsk, your an asshole." He said taking off his clothes and tossing them onto the floor next to the bath.

He continued disinfecting my wounds then dressing them, the whole time I was holding on tightly to his shoulder due to the pain.

"Are you done yet??" I asked him

"Mhm"

"Good!" I said letting go of his shoulder.

Out of nowhere he grabbed my hair.

"Levi??" I questioned before he dunked my head under the water.

When I came back I started a coughing fit, Levi looked at me slightly concerned before I grabbed his head, and slammed him into the water too.

When he came back up he headbutt me hard on the forehead.

"OW!" I shouted rubbing my head before smacking Levi back down into the water harshly.

When he came back up a red mark was forming on his cheek. He slapped me back even harder than I had hit him, into the water.

When I came back up I gasped for air but was captured by a kiss, it lasted a second before he pulled away.

"There, now we're even." He said, "now let me wash your hair, there's blood in it."

I nodded as he began washing my hair, I leaned into his touch before he dunked me yet again. When I came back up I shouted, "Oi!"

"Just getting the suds out." He said before kissing my cheek.

When he began washing his hair, I dunked him like he did to me then gave the same excuse.

"No kiss on the cheek like I did to you?" He said

"No you don't deserve one." I said

After that we both got out, got into pjamas and got into bed. As I was laid there in Levi's embrace, the past adrenaline was wearing off and what I had done to those men started to sink in.

"I killed them.. I killed them all in cold blood. They probably have families who don't know that they're not ever coming back. I'm a murderer.. I didn't feel a hint of sympathy when I saw the light behind their eyes fade, what the hells wrong with me?" I thought to myself.
