Chapter 43

I looked around frantically, left and right I saw blood painting my surroundings crimson red.

I saw the outline of a giant titan, it's eyes glowed red as it stared at me. I blinked and it seemingly disappeared.

"Ash!"

I heard someone call me and spun around, I saw Levi.

"Levi?" I shouted, "what's going on?!"

"Ash!" He shouted once again.

I blinked a few times as a titan appeared behind him.

"Behind you!" I screamed.

I attempted to run towards him but it felt as if I had weights attached to my ankles. I watched helplessly as the titan picked him up in its hand.

I tried again and again to run to him but I couldn't move, I fell onto my hands and knees as I watched the blood spill.

The titan lifted him to his mouth and bit down. The blood splattered to the ground as I attempted to crawl forwards.

"Levi!" I shouted, the pain clear in my voice.

As I continued trying to break free from my invisible shackles the ground began turning to liquid.

I yelped as I sank down into it, I tried to breathe but couldn't, I tried to swim but couldn't. So I continued to sink, the air leaving my lungs as I drowned silently.

I spotted something in the corner of my eye, I turned my head and saw Levi. Though.. it didn't seem like Levi.

His body was mangled, blood mixing with the water. His mouth was parted and eyes rolled to the back of his head.

Slowly, his eyes focused on me. I yelped as as grabbed hold of my shoulders.

"Why didn't you help me." He said, "why didn't you do anything."

I tried to speak but no noise would come out.

"You let me die." He continued, "this is your fault. I will never love a weak piece of shit like you."

I tried speaking more and more but I felt as if I was suffocating. Suddenly, my body began floating up to the surface quickly.

I took a breathe desperate to get oxygen into my system the moment I surfaced. I looked around once I had gotten my breathing under control.

I found myself on a battle ground, bodies littered the blood soaked grass. I stood up out of the puddle of blood I was sat in.

I recognized many of the bodies, Moblit, Erwin, Hange, Gunther, Eld, Oluo, Petra and Levi.

Each body had various injures going from small cuts and bruises to large portions missing from their bodies.

I looked up to see a titan staring at me, it's eyes glowed red as it just.. stood there.
