Chapter 50

(A/N: sorry if it seems rushed but I'm trying to finish this story so I can move onto another.)

~~~timeskip of a week~~~

I woke up groggily laid on Levi's chest.

"mmh.." I hummed as I sat up.

"Morning." Levi said to me kissing my cheek.

I looked down at myself to see I was only in boxers, nothing else. To be fair Levi was too.

"Did you undress me in my sleep?" I asked looking at my pyjamas on the floor.

"You looked warm."

"I don't believe that for a second." I muttered laying back down on him.

Suddenly the door burst open, I screamed as a reaction before my face went bright red from embarrassment.

I made the mistake of looking directly at the door thinking it was Hange, only to see it was Eren. Our gazes locked on each other before Levi's hand flew to cover my face, though he ended up slapping me instead.

"Ow what was that for!" I shouted running my cheek.

"I tried to hide you!"

"Well you slapped me!"

"Eren who let you out of your cell." Levi said completely ignoring me.

"Petra did.. I just came to say we ran out of milk.." He said before slowly shutting the door and leaving.

As soon as the door shut I started crying.

"Wait no don't cry, he doesn't care about your scar." Levi said pulling me towards him and hugging me.

"I didn't want him to see it." I said between sobs, "I thought he was Hange."

"It's not your fault, I thought that too when he first opened the door."

"I told him not to be so intimidated but I didn't mean that.." I muttered as I began calming down.

"I'll put him on cleaning duty." He said rubbing my back.

I smiled at him before getting out of bed and changing into my uniform. He did the same before we went downstairs for breakfast.

I took my mask off fully to eat that day, everyone in the squad had seen it so why would it matter anymore, though I did put it back on afterwards.

After breakfast I approached Petra.

"Okay so uhm- can you help me find a ring?" I muttered, "I want to propose.."

"To Levi? Oh my goddd!!" She shouted.

I quickly quieted her down before nodding.

"Of course I will help. Let's go to the market" She said dragging me by the wrist.

"Levi, me and Petra going out, we'll be back later!" I called out.

"Okay!" He shouted from another room.

Me and Petra took our horses to the market and tied them down just outside. We made our way over to the jewelry stand right away.

"How about this one?" Petra said picking a silver band up with a red gem.

"Oh yeah I really like that one." I said before taking it from her and paying.

"When do you want to propose?" Asked Petra on our ride back to the castle.

"I'm not sure.. sometime soon though." I replied, "if I find an opportunity I'll go for it."

"Oh my god- you need to force the captain into a dress."
