Chapter 11

I sat on the bed replaying the events of 5 minutes ago. I questioned everything in that moment including my relationship with the captain and my sexuality.

"To be honest, I had never really given my sexuality much thought, so I'll just leave it as unlabeled. And my relationship with the captain... I have no idea." I thought to myself.

Then my mind started to wander to what other people would think, Petra and Hange mainly.

"Petra might not be too happy, I mean she did tell me that she has a crush on him.. and hange.. eh hange wont care, she might be happy about it... a little too happy-" I thought to myself.

I heard the door open then Levi walk in.

"Sorry, I had to beat up a bitch real quick." He said as he walked over to me and sat down next to me.

"It's fine..."

"Oh finally talking? That's good."

"Captain I have a question." I asked

"Hm?" He hummed turning towards me.

"What are we to each other?"

"Whatever you want to be."

"Eh!?"

"You heard me."

"That doesn't help! Why do you think I asked the question in the first place? Because I don't know!"

"Hm.."

"..."

"We're..."

Silence filled the room as we looked at each other awkwardly.

"I'm not sure to be honest.." he said

"At least I'm not the only one." I thought to myself.

"Well let's not label our relationship then, just let it go wherever it wants to until it makes sense." I said to which he nodded.

I sighed in relief as a comfortable silence filled the room.

"By the way, Hange told the whole squad that we're dating, I tried to stop her."

"She did?!"

"Yeah. I denied it but they didn't believe me."

"Why wouldn't they believe you?"

"Who knows."

~~timeskip to the expedition~~

I sat on my horse ready to ride out of the gate on the commanders signal. He did his routinely speech then ordered us to charge.

When we cleared the building ruins we deployed the long-range scouting formation and were on our way.

"Ash! Come here!" Shouted Levi

I moved my horse to get closer to his

"Yes sir?"

"Get on my horse, I want you close."

"Wouldn't that slow your horse down?"

"Just do as i say. Let your horse go free, it will find its way back to the walls eventually."

I sighed and carefully stood up on the back of my horse, making sure I don't fall off then let go of the reins jumped onto his.

I carefully sat down behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist to ensure that I don't fall off.

"Hey Ash what happened to your horse?" Asked Gunther who probably didn't see what had just happened.

"Oh um.. it threw me off and ran away, the captain stopped me from falling behind the formation." I said trying to save Levi's dignity and reputation.

He nodded and continued on, out of the corner of my eye I saw a titan approaching us at a rapid speed. Definitely an abnormal.

I set off a black flair and continued on. More black flairs were set off down the line and eventually we receive the order to change course.

After hours of riding, we approached a forest of massive trees. As we entered it I noticed a lot of titans behind us, I just shrugged it off. It's not like they'll catch up with us anyway.

There was a rough path through the forest, probably made by titans since it wasn't manmade. It started raining heavily as we rode through, I still was unsure on where we were going but it was going good so far.

I heard footsteps to the left of us, I turned and saw a titan running towards us,
"Another abnormal?" I thought to myself as I set off a black flair, "no wait.. it's the same one from before.. jeez this fucker is fast-"

"Everyone speed up!" Shouted the captain as the abnormal came racing towards us.

It was growing nearer and nearer with every second, the horses should be able to outrun it though.

Levi's horse was slower than the rest due to it carrying 2 people instead of 1, we were falling behind the rest of the squad at a rapid rate, with the abnormal getting closer to us at the rear.

"Captain!" Shouted Petra, "speed up!"

"It's right behind you!" Shouted Eld.

"Hurry sir!" Shouted Oluo

I turned around and was met by the abnormals ugly ass face, right in front of me. I screamed in terror as it grabbed me from the horse.

"Ash!" Shouted Levi.

More screams ripped out of my throat as the giant monster crushed me in its hand. I heard the sounds of odm gear, slicing, then air rushing past my ears.

"Ash!" Levi shouted once again as he came barreling towards me. I saw a giant hand behind Levi.

"Captain behind you!" I shouted.

I watched as he turned around quickly and narrowly avoided the giant hand swatting at him, either attempting to grab or hit him.

The hand then came towards me and unimaginable speeds then hit me, changing my course through the air to the side.

I screamed in pain once more when I felt the side of my body being torn up against the forest floor, I looked down to see the side of my body all bloody and ripped.

"Ash!" Came a voice

Levi!

I looked around desperately hoping to find the source of the voice, but I couldn't find where it was coming from. I hit my head hard on a tree blurring my vision, then everything went black.
