Chapter 13

A week had passed and I could finally move around with minimal pain. During that week I spent in bed, the main person taking care of me was Levi and occasionally Petra or Hange.

"Are you in any pain?" Asked Levi as I stood up from the bed and stretched.

"Nope I'm fine, stop worrying so much."

"It's kinda hard not to worry."

"It's fine, most of it's healed up enough to the point where I can move! I'll be back to normal completely in a week or two!"

"Yeah, I want to make sure your not hurting at all though."

"I'm not, relax Levi!"

"Hm.."

"What? You don't believe me?"

"No its not that I just want to be certain."

"I'm fine! Are you convinced now?"

"Sure."

"Good! Now I want to see everyone it's been ages since I've been with them all at once!" I said walking out of the room with Levi following behind me.

When I reached the kitchen where I assumed everyone was, I was met by Petra basically flying at me.

"Ash!" She shouted, "you're better now?"

"Mhm! Just about."

"That's good!" She shouted.

With that, I sat at the table with the rest of Levi squad, plus Moblit and Hange. In the middle of nowhere, Petra leaned over to me.

"Have you find out who gave him that hickey yet?" She whispered.

"Uhm.. no-" I whispered back hoping I sounded convincing.

"Okay, is he seeing anyone?"

"I don't think so.."

"Good. Can you set me and the captain up now?"

"Yeah, I will later." I whispered back trying to hide the pain in my voice.

Just then a tall blonde man walked in, I took one look at him and immediately recognized those eyebrows.

"Hello Levi squad, I don't think I've had the pleasure of formally meeting you all, I'm commander Erwin of the scouts."

"Yeah, we know." I said

He was taken aback for a moment before smiling at me, "ah, there's an attitude on you." He said.

"I- uh- no?."

After that we all introduced ourselves to him and got to talking.

As I made my way into my room and sat down on the bed, levi approached me.

"Why were you and Petra whispering to each other at the start of dinner?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Because I wanna know."

"Why?"

"Just curious."

"Okay, well it doesn't matter, it was about something stupid."

"No, I want to know now, why were you whispering?"

"It was nothing."

"No, tell me."

"Why?"

"Because I heard me name in it, now tell me."

"It's really nothing though?"

"If it's nothing then why aren't you telling me?"

"Because it's none of your business."

"It's plenty of my business if your talking about me."

"Fine! Petra has a crush on you, and she's really mad about the hickey! She doesn't know I'm the one who gave you it and... and.." I said before stopping and staring at the ground.

Levi sat next to me and started rubbing circles on my back, "and what?"

"And she'll hate me if she finds out..." I whispered.

"Ash, she won't hate yo-"

"Yes she will! She asked me to set you and her up and I couldn't say no.."

"I'll just reject her, and if she doesn't like you after that then it's her loss. She can't dictate who either of us love."

"She's been my best friend since cadets though, I can't lose her.."

"If she's a good friend then you won't, when did she tell you that she likes me?"

"After I gave you the hickey.."

"Then you wouldn't have known, tell her that. Tell her that you gave me that hickey and that you love me and I love you."

"She'll hate me.."

"You can't keep it from her forever, she will eventually find out so it's best to tell her."

"I can't though.."

"Either tell her when your ready to, or I'll tell her myself."

"No don't! I'll tell her myself when I'm ready to.."

"Okay good." He said leaning over to me and kissing my forehead.

I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and leaned on him. I heard the door to our room open and someone walk in. I looked up to see Petra stood in the hallway.

"I heard everything." She said before turning around, and walking out slamming the door behind her.

I stood up about to run after her when Levi grabbed my arm and pulled me back onto the bed.

"If she heard everything then you don't need to say anything to her right now." He said.

"But she slammed the door, I can tell she's mad at me."

"She probably slammed it because she's mad I don't like her back, don't run after her give her some time to cool down."

"Okay.." I said as I sat back on the bed with him.

He pulled me to lay down next to him and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my head in the crook of his neck.

"Ash we're still in our uniform." He said

"I don't give a fuck."

After laying like that for awhile, I was half asleep when a knock came at the door suddenly.

"State your name and business." Said Levi

"It's Erwin and Hange." Came the voice

"Come in." He said without moving from his spot.

"It's time for our meeting-" Erwin started as he opened the door and stepped inside followed by Hange, "bad time?"

"No it's fine." Said Levi as he let go of me and sat up.

I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him back down on the bed.

"Oh my god! I knew you were together!" Hange shouted as she jumped up and down clapping her hands.

"Hange... kindly shut up." I mumbled tiredly.

"Okay sorry moody pants 2.0!"

"2.0?" I asked

"Levi's moody pants 1.0!"

"Makes sense..." I mumbled.

"What?!" Levi shouted.

"Shush, your being too loud." I mumbled placing my hand over his mouth.

I heard laughing behind me but I was too tired to give a shit. And soon enough I fell asleep.
