Chapter 39

As I laid in the warmth of my bed, my limbs entangled with Levi's I heard a knock at the door.

"Come in." Said Levi.

I watched as Petra came in, "it's snowing!"

"Really?" I asked to which she nodded.

I then turned to Levi, "see I told you it was colder today."

"Shut up before I shove you out of this bed and onto the floor." Levi said calmly.

"We'll be down in a minute." I said to Petra, she nodded and left the room.

I reluctantly got up from the bed and quickly changed into my uniform, Levi doing the same. I looked through the wardrobe for our coats, eventually finding them and handing Levi his.

The castle had no heating so I put my coat on straight away before walking downstairs with Levi. Training was cancelled due to the snow so we had a free day.

Once we were downstairs, we walked into the mess hall, got our food and sat down.

"Should we go outside?" Asked Petra halfway through the meal.

"It's snowing right?" Asked Eld.

"Mhm."

"Let's have a snowball fight or something." I suggested.

"You can all play in the snow." Oluo scoffed, "but I will not be caught dead participating in such childish activiti-"

Like always, Oluo cut himself off by biting his tongue. I rolled my eyes as I continued eating my food.

"Childish? I recall during the week long expedition you were splashing around in the water." Gunther said.

"Nonsense! I was defending myself from you lot!" Oluo shouted his face turning red.

"Just admit it, your just as childish as the rest of us!" Said Petra.

"Nonsense!"

"We'll see." She said taking another bite of food.

After breakfast we made our way into the training grounds. The cold wind blew past me the moment I stepped outside.

The snow was falling heavily as I followed the others further outside. The snow was really deep, it went to just a few inches under my knees, keeping in mind my shoes added a good inch or so to that due to the small heels.

Once more the wind howled, I felt myself shiver as it blew past me. Levi's cold hand connected with mine, entangling our fingers with each others.

I suddenly felt something cold hit the back of my neck and go down the back of my shirt. I squirmed as I felt it melting from my body heat.

I spun my head around to see Petra making another snowball.

"You ginger bitch!" I shouted as I let go of Levi and threw a snowball back.

"I'm not a ginger! Fuck it's cold!" She shouted as she stood up with another snowball in hand.

"It's snow I don't know what you expected!" I shouted back as I got hit by another snowball from behind me.

I turned my head to see it was Eld, I then got hit by a snowball Petra had thrown.

"Oh! Ganging up on me? Huh?!" I shouted as I threw a snowball at Eld.

I then made another one and threw it at Petra. I then felt one hit me from a third direction, I looked at it was Gunther.

"Oh you too? You wanna go?!" I shouted as I threw one at him too.
