Cupid ran back as fast as she could.

It didn't help that she was wearing taller shoes.

Ever After High was now in her sight as she ran. Cupid smiled. She could still make it in time to class. To Dexter.

C.A Cupid was running as fast as she could, until she suddenly halted.

The gates. The gates are closed.

How was she supposed to enter?

"No, no, no!"

She made it to the gates.

Cupid tried to open the gates, even pulled on it, but it wouldn't budge. It was completely locked. She let out a defeated groan. She forgot Raven told her once, that during school hours, the gates would be locked, to ensure that the students won't go out, ditching classes.

"Duchess, this is all your fault." she said to herself, still trying to regain her breath.

She woke up early for nothing now. She wouldn't be able to go to Chemythstery. All her effort, thrown away for nothing. She closed her eyes, frustrated, cursing under her breath.

"Hello there?"

Cupid jumped at the sudden voice.

She quickly stood straight. "I'm sorry, I know I'm-"

As she turned, she didn't see security. She was face-to-face with a boy she's never met before.

"I mean," she forced out a chuckle, "Hello?"

The boy had blonde hair. He wore a blue coat, and his hair was quite a mess. A necklace was hanging around his neck, and he was wearing a satchel.

He chuckled. "First time getting locked out?"

Cupid nodded sheepishly, embarrassed that he might have seen her little outburst. The boy scratched his head and smiled. "I get locked out a lot. I always get distracted and lose track of time."

She sighed.

"So you just stay out here, huh?"

The boy's eyebrows furrowed.

"What? Of course not," He patted the gate handle. "I always climb up the gate."

C.A Cupid's eyes widened. "Climb up? Like jump over it?"

The boy nodded confidently. "Come on, let's climb. We don't want to miss class, don't we?"

Cupid looked down at her outfit. She scoffed at herself, she should've worn pants. "I'm sorry, but do you really expect me to climb gates in this kind of dress?" She then pointed to her shoes, "With these shoes too?" The dress that Cupid wore restricted her legs, and her shoes were tall. There's no way she'd climb in these.

The boy rubbed his chin. He then smiled at her. "No worries, I'll help you."

He squat down, and patted his back.

"Just use me as your elevator."

Cupid looked down at him, horrified.

"You're joking."

He shook his head. "Nope, just get on, it's fine."

She let out a sigh, her eyes darting from the gate to the boy. "Sorry about this," Cupid slipped out of her heels, and held them with her right hand. She slowly stepped on the boy's back, holding the gate to support her. He began carefully standing up, lifting Cupid with the movement. Before his back went completely straight, Cupid quickly lifted herself to the top of the gate.
