It seems that hearts and destinies don't always move in the same direction.

Cupid was in the library by herself today.

She had asked Alistair to join her, but he refused because he was still annoyed at the evil step-librarians. Cupid simply shrugged and went to the library all by herself. She planned on studying, but didn't really get much studying that. Eventually, she walked around the whole library, looking at the books, but she became bored and decided to sit down, waiting for her next class.

Cupid scribbled in her notebook. She drew some random things, and her mind went to Dexter. He was truly an art piece.

"Cupid and Dexter Charming," she muttered under her breath as she drew the Charming. She felt her lips pull up. Her mind began to wander. What would it be like, if it was her who he loves? A sigh escaped her lips. She shook her head. "What am I even doing?" She stared at the drawing of Dexter Charming that she made. "I'm out of my mind."

Suddenly, books fell on the table, right in front of her notebook. Cupid's body jumped up, startled. She looked at her right, an annoyed look on her face. But the look went away in a second as she sees who dropped the books.

"Hey Cupid," Dexter Charming said as he fixed his lopsided glasses. "Anyone sitting here?" he pointed at the seat beside her. Cupid was in a trance as she looked up at him. "...Yes," she whispered, in a dreamlike state. She realized what she just said and quickly shook her head. "I mean- No!"

"No one is sitting there, and yes!" she pointed at the seat beside her. "You should sit there!" she covered up her bashfulness with a small laugh. He smiled. "Thanks."

"SHH! QUIET IN THE LIBRARY!"

Cupid rolled her eyes. She leaned closer to Dexter. "The evil step-librarians are so wicked."

"Yeah, last week they made me re-catalog the entire forbidden section!" he agreed.

Cupid chuckled, but the evil step-librarians shut them up again. It's a good thing Alistair isn't here, he'll drag her out of the library, annoyed at the librarians. And other than that, Cupid can finally spend a one on one time with Dexter himself.

Dexter shrugged at the evil step-librarians. He turned to Cupid and lifted a book. "Well, look what I found." Cupid took a good look at the book. She gasped. "The History of True Hearts Day?" She looked at Dexter, who was smiling at her excitement. "Thanks, Dex! You are such a sweet-"

A bang on the table. The step-librarians were now at their table, shushing them for the third time in five minutes. Cupid gave Dexter a look, showing her annoyance. Dexter winced. The step-librarians went back to their places. Cupid bit her cheek and scooted closer to Dexter. She leaned near his ear and put a hand beside his ear. "Thanks again, Dexter."

Dexter grinned and leaned into Cupid's ear, doing the same thing she did.

"You're welcome," he whispered.

Cupid felt her heart fluttering.

Cupid was running to Headmaster Grimm's office.

She was too excited.

Alistair just finished his class. He was walking until he heard running behind him. He turned. His hand quickly reached out and grabbed onto Cupid's arm. "Woah, hello there trackstar," Cupid was forced to stop, she nearly lost her balance. She looked to her left and saw the same face she sees every day. "What you got there?" he gestured to the book she was holding.

Cupid held the book in front of his face. "It's a book, what did you think it is?" Alistair pushed the book away from his face and rolled his eyes. "I obviously thought it was a cupcake." Cupid let out a chuckle, waving her arms around in front of his face, "I have no time to be annoyed with you right now," she looked at the cover of the book in her hands. "Because I just found out about the greatest thing, ever."
