Cupid stood there.

She looked around, wiping the tears from her eyes. Everyone was staring at her, and her only. They whispered and talked, some even pointed at her as they whispered.

Cupid shook her head, her breaths coming in and out too fast for comfort. She looked in front of her. A few steps away from her was Duchess Swan, and Sparrow Hood. Proud smiles on their faces. Cupid's lips parted. She couldn't believe what just happened. She dug her nails into her palms, shaking.

The two made their way towards Cupid, all confident and smug.

"Hey there Cupid, enjoyed the show?" Duchess asked tauntingly.

Cupid let out an unbelieving scoff.

"Did you do it?" she asked shakily, her voice a mere whisper.

Duchess smirked, "Well yes, I did it, but Sparrow was the one who captured the whole thing," she replied, letting out an amused laugh. Sparrow chuckled, crossing his arms proudly. "You humiliated me, C.A Cupid, now's your turn." Duchess took a step closer to Cupid, "Sparrow's right, Cupid," she spat out her name like venom, "What? You think you're great because you're the daughter of a god?" she scoffed, "You're not even his real daughter, and to make things worse, he absolutely hates you."

Sparrow let out a booming laugh, like this was all a funny play to him. "Can you believe it? The god of love, hates his own daughter!?" he pointed his finger right at Cupid's face, laughing. Cupid swatted his finger away aggressively.

"Shut up, you know nothing about me," her voice was filled with fury.

Duchess pouted, "Don't act so harsh Cupid," she smirked, "You're practically no one, compared to us. You don't deserve to be here, inheriting a legacy, unlike the rest of us. You don't even exist in storybooks," she paused, smiling as words poured out of her lips like poison, "You're not really real."

It was quiet for a second.

Only the sound of Cupid's deep breaths was present for a split moment.

Cupid slapped Duchess right across the face. The slap broke the deafening silence, and people around them gasped. Sparrow's eyes widened, and Duchess held her cheek, almost funnily mimicking the way Cupid was in that video.

"How dare you!"

Cupid pushed Duchess before she could advance, making her lose her balance. "What? Want me to do it again?" she challenged. "I'm not afraid of you, Duchess Swan, I'm not afraid to go against you, to fight you," she turned her eyes to Sparrow. Sparrow gulped at her vicious look, but he took a step forwards, lifting his chin up.

Cupid shook her head, "I'm not even scared to fight you if I have to, Sparrow Hood. You know why? Because you're nothing," she spat out the last word harshly as she looked him dead in the eyes, "You're simply the dirt under my foot, is your micro brain capable of understanding that?"

Sparrow's mouth was wide open in shock.

"You- you just-" his eyes burned with anger, "I am Sparrow Hood! The Sparrow Hood! And I won't be stepped on by some worthless, stupid bitch!"

A fist collided with Sparrow Hood's face.

A loud crack was heard. People screamed at the attack. Sparrow fell to the floor, letting out a shout of pain. His hand went to his nose, and his fingers went away bloody. He let out a shocked gasp. Sparrow looked up at his attacker. His eyebrows scrunched together, "Alistair Wonderland? What-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Sparrow Hood was pulled up by the collar.

Cupid's mouth dropped. She looked at Alistair. His chest rose up and down, face filled with absolute malice.

He was almost unrecognizable.

Alistair pulled Sparrow Hood closer to him. "Keep her name out of your mouth, Sparrow Hood," he said, his voice quiet, threatening. Beside them, Duchess stood there, looking horrified. Sparrow scoffed, holding his crooked, bloody nose.

"What's your fucking problem dude!?"

"I said, keep her name out of your damn mouth!" he shouted loudly, his voice echoed in the halls. Sparrow tried to release himself from Alistair's grip, but his grip was strong. His hands were shaking as he gripped Sparrow's collar, his veins noticeable as his breaths heave. Cupid took a step closer to him, "Alistair-"

"I won't just stand there, and listen to the both of you put my friend's name to shame in front of the whole school, I simply can't," he shook his head. Sparrow turned his face away from Alistair, his lips trembling, "Dude, okay-"

"Her name is Chariclo Arganthone Cupid, not those words that you just called her," he tilted his head, "And maybe your brain is too small to process this, but no matter what, no matter how hard you try to shame her, you will never be able to reach her level, because this is what you guys do."

Alistair let go of Sparrow with a push. He crumbled to the floor, letting out brash breaths. Alistair put one hand on his temple, the other on his hip as he closed his eyes, trying to stay calm. He turned his head to Duchess. She shrunk under his stare. "Both of you find joy in other people's sufferings. That's why absolutely no one in this school likes you. Hell, you and Sparrow don't even like each other. But you guys are friends anyway because no one else would shame themselves by even talking to you willingly." Duchess opened her mouth, letting out an offended gasp.

Alistair ran his fingers through his hair, cursing under his breath. He let out a rough groan.

"Don't disturb Cupid again, do the both of you understand?" his cloudy eyes went from Duchess to Sparrow. Sparrow nodded, backing away. Duchess looked down, her cheeks red. Alistair let out a small sigh. "If something like this happens again, I don't think I'll be able to control myself from hurting the both of you." Duchess looked up at him, her eyes wide, fear pooling in them. She gulped. Alistair inhaled sharply. He bent down, one knee on the ground as he leaned forwards, looking Sparrow straight in the eyes. Sparrow held his breath.

"If you ever dare talk bad about Cupid," he whispered, "I'll make sure you'll never talk again."

Sparrow Hood let out a shaky breath, his hands shaking.

Cupid stared at Alistair, her eyes wide, not knowing what to do.

And then the bell rang.

"What in Ever After is going on here!?" a booming voice came. Cupid turned behind her, Headmaster Grimm and Baba Yaga were hurrying in their direction, anger and shock in their eyes. Grimm looked at all the students, whose mouths were agape at what they had just witnessed.

"All of you, go to your classes," he demanded, "NOW!"

The students scurried away in all directions, hurriedly running to their classes. They bumped to each other, as their eyes were still glued to Cupid, Alistair, Sparrow, and Duchess.

Cupid closed her eyes shut in frustration, her head was spinning. She crouched down on the floor. Alistair turned to Cupid, kneeling in front of Cupid, holding her shoulders. "Are you okay?" he asked, worry clear in his voice. His eyes widened, he put a hand on Cupid's cheek. "You're sick."

Cupid opened her eyes. "Alistair," she said softly, "Why did you do that?" Her eyebrows scrunched together, eyes filled with concern as she looked up at him. Alistair stayed still,  his expression turning frustrated, "Because you don't deserve this Cupid, none of this crap."

Grimm cleared his throat. Alistair slowly let go of Cupid's shoulders. He held her arm, helping her stand. Duchess stayed close to Sparrow, who finally stood up, holding his broken and bleeding nose.

Headmaster Grimm glared at the four of them.

"My office, all of you," he said through gritted teeth.
