They barely got sleep that night.

Cupid woke up groggily, groaning as she realized she only managed to get a few hours of sleep.

She entered her classes, highly distracted and severely unfocused. Rubbing her tired eyes, she stepped out of her previous class with Baba Yaga.

Her eyes caught Alistair's as she pulled her hands away from her eyes.

Her breath hitched.

She could see the contemplation in his eyes. Cupid bit her inner lip, sighing softly. Her feet turned the other direction, turning her back against him.

She walked away.

He didn't call out for her.

And just like that, Cupid thought.

Their friendship was over. Whatever beautiful monument they've built, all of it was destroyed in one night.

Cupid cursed herself. Why did she have to ruin everything? Why did she have to open her mouth and destroy every good thing given onto her?

"Cupid!"

Cupid stopped in her tracks.

She blinked, taking more time to process than needed. She slowly turned around, finding herself face to face with the grinning Bunny. And beside her, was of course, Alistair Wonderland.

Cupid plastered a smile onto her face.

"Hey Bunny," she turned her head slightly to Alistair, giving him a stern nod, "Alistair."

Alistair cleared his throat, swallowing the lump in his throat. "Hi, Cupid," he said quietly.

Bunny furrowed her eyebrows, looking at Alistair and Cupid back and forth. "Okay..." she said unsurely, "What did I miss yesterday night?"

Cupid let out a small chuckle. "Nothing," she said. Alistair nodded, a smile now on his face too. He put his arm around Bunny's shoulder, throwing her a breath-taking grin. "We're just tired." He yawned. Cupid examined his face, her lips forming a line. He too, had bags under his eyes.

Guess she wasn't the only one who couldn't stop thinking about what happened.

Bunny blushed, bringing herself closer to Alistair. She shrugged. "I guess I just feel like you're acting odd," she said, laughing, "Both of you."

Cupid glanced at Alistair's hand on Bunny's shoulder for a quick second. "Well, there's no reason to act odd," her eyes turned to Alistair's, locking with his, "Is that right, Alistair?" Alistair tensed under her gaze. Her eyes felt like they were cutting into his skin. Alistair didn't look away, he held her eyes, nodding, "Of course."

Cupid wanted to roll her eyes, but she didn't. She kept them still, on his. Her fingers balled into a fist. His eyes were cold now as they stared into Cupid's. How dare he.

How dare you.

But after a second, her fists loosened.

Who gave her the audacity, really?

The blame was hers.

She was the one who ruined everything.

Cupid's shoulders dropped.

Bunny could feel the atmosphere hardening.

"Okay!" she put her hands together, "That- that's cool!"

Cupid finally pulled her eyes away from him. She gave Bunny a smile. "Anyways, I've got to go to my next class now, but," she spared Alistair a glance, "I'll see you both later, right?"
