Cupid was called to Headmaster Grimm's office that same afternoon.

With her swollen eyes, and a doubtful heart, she sat on the chair in front of Grimm's table, head hung low.

Grimm sat in front of her, his hands crossed together below his chin, looking at her with a stern look. He sighed, slapping his palms on the wooden table, leaning forwards.

"Until when exactly, will I finally be able to stop dealing with the problems you keep causing?" he asked, standing up from his seat.

Grimm began pacing slowly, a hand on his temple. "Until when, will I have to cover for all the mess that you do, and defend you for all the havoc and chaos that has come to this school ever since you step foot in it!?" His tone was slow but angry, words flowing out through his gritted teeth.

Cupid looked up to meet his eyes, she narrowed hers.

"I never intended for any mess to happen," she barked back, breaking eye contact. She stared blankly at the wall, "I guess I'm just, unlucky."

Grimm stayed quiet for a quick second, awaiting her next words, awaiting an apology maybe, or an explanation. He scoffed, walking to her.

"They are saying, and oh are they convinced, that you have used your powers to harm and endanger their hearts," he said, "That, Ms. Cupid, is a seriously severe accusation. One that can get you suspended, even kicked out of this school."

Cupid bit her cheek. She groaned.

"I swear, that I have never, and would not ever, use any of my abilities for harm. But they are all saying otherwise, and honestly, I don't know what to do. I really don't know what to do." Cupid stood up, shrugging, eyes defeated. "You're suggesting I what? Try to prove myself good by using my powers for good and to help them?" She let out a bitter laugh, "Oh, isn't that what I have been doing ever since I came to Ever After High?" Cupid took a step to Headmaster Grimm, "And hasn't that always been my only purpose to even come to Ever After High?" she said incredulously, tone rising.

Cupid put her palms up, "Headmaster Grimm, I am out of ideas. The whole school hates me," she let her hands drop, sneering, "This is the thanks I get." Cupid's eyebrows furrowed, "I would've never even come to Ever After High if I didn't have good intentions, which is to help people."

Cupid's eyes watered, she bit on her lip, her eyes meeting Grimm's with fury in them.

"If I meant nothing other than good intentions," her words continued, "I would have stayed," she pressed, her voice getting higher, "I would have never come here, a place that only wants to hunt me down and burn me on a stick."

Grimm sighed softly, his shoulders slumping. He put his hand over his eyes. "Ms. Cupid, I know that your experience in Ever After High has been nothing but easy," he said, "But you are a good kid, Ever After High needs someone like you."

Cupid smiled sadly, shaking her head.

"Unfortunately that's not true," she replied.

Headmaster Grimm looked at the girl in front of him. She looked defeated. Like she had completely given up on herself. He gave her a sad smile.

"Don't tell anyone but you're definitely one of my favourite students, despite all the trouble you get yourself into," he let out a small laugh, walking back to his chair and sitting down.

Cupid gave him a confused look, "And what's that got to do with anything?"

Grimm shrugged.

"You still have people on your side, Ms. Cupid," his voice was soft, "People who have good intentions for you, and people who want to help you, the way you always do with others."

Cupid's smile faded slowly, the words striking her in the heart. She let his words flow through her soul, strike her right at the heart. Grimm rested his chin on his hands.

"Ms. Cupid, you deserve all the love you've given to others in return."

Cupid gulped, taking a deep breath. She sniffled softly, "Thank you, Headmaster Grimm," she smiled at him, genuinely this time.

Grimm nodded at her, his eyes reflecting the same authenticity.

"You, focus on yourself. Don't listen to the negativity around you, though that's a difficult task. In the meantime, I'll see what I can do for you," Grimm cleared his throat, "That's all Ms. Cupid, you may leave."

Cupid nodded, walking to the door.

Before she could walk out of his office, she stopped.

She turned to see Grimm one last time.

"Thank you, truly," she said, "For all that you have done to help me," she smiled, "Your words will stick with me forever."

Grimm chuckled, taking a sip out of the coffee on his table.

"My pleasure."

Cupid opened the door, taking a step out.

"Oh, and Ms. Cupid?" Grimm called out for the last time.

"Yeah?" she poked her head in.

"Stay away from Mr. Wonderland, would you?"

Cupid's breath caught in her throat.

Grimm cleared his throat, "For the time being, at least. Until it all dies down."

Her shoulders slumped slightly, a breath escaping her lips. Cupid gripped onto the wooden door of Grimm's office, knuckles turning white.

"I understand, Headmaster."

She does.

She really does.

Life has ended.

She stands here as she begs to be reborn.
