Walking back through the gates of Ever After High left an uneasy feeling in Cupid's heart.

She looked up at the school before her, eyes empty as she felt one feeling she's felt too many times.

Trapped.

She sighed internally.

The skies were dark and gloomy, dark clouds thundering over them, wind blowing over her face. Cupid looked to her right, Alistair was already looking at her.

"Everything alright?" he asked softly.

Cupid smiled at him. She didn't reply, just nodded at his question. Alistair's eyes softened.

"It's okay," he whispered.

Cupid stayed silent for a second, inspecting his face, the light gone in his eyes.

"I know," she answered. It's going to be okay.

She hoped.

Alistair and Cupid parted ways as the entered the school, heading to each of their dorms, both feeling worn out and tired.

Alistair walked down the halls, rubbing his weary eyes. He yawned.

So tired.

He just needed a good sleep. And all will be okay. Just some rest.

He continued his steps, not noticing that he has bumped into a figure in front of him. A small sound escaped his chest. Alistair tore his hands away from his eyes, taking a step back, hands held out in front of him, "I'm sorry-", he stopped. His eyes widened slightly.

"Bunny? What are you doing here?"

He raised his eyebrows, eyes concerned, "It's like 4 in the morning."

Bunny crossed her arms, dark bags lining under her eyes. She sighed, head tilting slightly. "Alistair, where have you been all this time?" she asked exasperatedly, tiredness present in her voice, "I was worried sick about you!" she shoved him slightly. Bunny put a hand on her temples,

"Alistair, you were gone for almost two days! Where the hell were you? How could you just disappear on me like that, I-"

Bunny sighed, looking at Alistair. They seemed to share a look, one where they could understand that she was implying her worry after his mother's death.

"I thought something bad happened to you."

Alistair let out a heavy breath, guilt painted on his face.

"Bunny, I'm so so sorry for just vanishing into thin air, I-" he paused, "I went to get Cupid."

Bunny's eyebrows furrowed.

"I-" she shook her head, "Why didn't you just tell me before you left? And why didn't you ask me to come with you?"

Alistair ran his fingers through his blonde hair, sighing to himself. Bunny took a step closer to him, her arms crossed on her chest. She looked up into his eyes with her concerned ones, "Alistair, tell me."

His eyes landed on hers.

"I'm sorry, I thought it would be dangerous if I asked you to come along and I-" he frowned, "I thought that it would be quick and I could come back right away-"

Bunny took a step back.

It made him stop.

She simply looked at him as she stood straight, staring into his eyes.

"Bunny?" he asked, his eyes desperate.

Bunny's lips parted.

"Alistair," she said, "You're lying to me."
