Hermione sat in a small study room with Harry as they were examining the diary. Ron had told them it was a waste of time, but Hermione felt there was something more to the diary than it seemed. Hermione held it opened as she flicked throughout the pages.

"Do you have any ideas what to do?" Harry asked her.

"We might what to try writing in it?" Hermione suggested while pulling out a bottle of ink and dipped her quill. She wrote across the page a simple sentence of My name is Hermione Granger and I'm with my friend Harry Potter.

Hermione stared at the words till suddenly them seemed to suck up into the page. She gazed up to Harry, who looked surprised as she was. As she glanced back, she saw writing in her very own ink...

Hello Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. My name is Tom Riddle. How did you come by my diary?

"Whoa..." Harry mumbled. Hermione dip her quill again as she wrote again.

Someone tried to flush it down a toilet.

Lucky I recorded my memories in some more lasting way than ink. I always knew there would be someone who would not want this diary to be read.

What do you mean?

This diary holds memories of terrible things, which were covered up and happened at Hogwarts.

"Ask him about the Chamber of Secrets!' Harry hissed at her as she nodded and quickly scrawled.

Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?

Yes.

Can you tell us?

No... But I can show you...

The pages soon flew passed from where she had written till it reached a certain page that sudden marked June Thirteenth. A shimmering light came pouring from the diary as Hermione felt herself and Harry being sucked into the diary. Soon her feet hit solid ground as she saw the world around her come to shape. The world was black and white. Hermione glanced around as she noticed something off. Harry wasn't there though she was sure she saw him being pulled in along with her.

"Harry?" She called out. She didn't have time to keep on her search for him when a pair of double doors opened behind her. Hermione gasped as she turned around. Her eyes widened as she saw a group of girls walking out, laughing loudly and proudly. But it wasn't just any girls. It was Hermione's Great Grandmother Rose with her friends, Sophia, Dorothy and Blanche.

"I tell you he was into me!" Blanche said, smirking and laughing.

"How do you know?" Dorothy asked, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Because he said 'How are you, Blanche' and I wanted to say, 'wouldn't you like to know, big boy'." Blanche chuckled as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Blanche you are always assuming whenever a man's asking how your day is that they want to sleep with you. I think you shouldn't jump to conclusion or bad things will happen." Rose advised her. Their sudden laughter came to a halt when a boy, who was around the same age as them came showing up. Their facial expression changed to a look of seriousness and distrust and slight anger.

"I would like to ask if I could speak with Rose alone for a moment," Tom said.

"She does not want to speak with you after what happened between the two of you yesterday. Especially alone." Dorothy growled, taking a few steps in front of Rose.

"It won't be more than a minute, I promise." Tom stated to them.

"I don't feel like talking to you, Tom. After what you did to Hagrid, you should be ashamed of yourself. You know I had the right to defend him when I learned you jumped to conclusions and now Hagrid had been expelled for no reason." Rose shot at him.

"I did what's best for the school, Rose." Tom argued.

"No, you did what's best to get rid of him. I know how you felt about Hagrid. And for what? Because he's half-giant? He is such a sweet and kind man and you got rid of him all because he had a creature in his room." Rose shot at him.

"A creature that had killed an innocent life." Tom stated.

"Excuse me but unlike the Ministry of Magic, we all did our own research on the creature Hagrid had. And it was an Acromantula. A creature that couldn't remotely do what has been happening to the students." Dorothy declared with a nod of her head. Tom opened his mouth to say something when Sophia stepped in.

"Enough! Lets face it. We both are determined to keep to our beliefs. So why not let us do our best to keep our distances away from each other and continue to go to school in peace?" Sophia suggested to them. Tom shot a glare between all four of them before he stormed off. Once he had vanished from the area, Rose took a sigh of relief.

"I wish I could get into Headmaster Dippet's head it was Riddle, who killed that girl!" Rose shrieked. Hermione eyes widened as she was staring in amazement.

"Rose how do you know for sure that it was Riddle?" Blanche asked. Rose turned towards her friends.

"Because I spoke to the creature." She whispered, "And it told me Riddle sent it to kill the muggle-borns."

"You spoke to the creature?" Sophia asked, stunned.

"Rose! You should go to the Headmaster!" Dorothy told Rose.

"I did! He didn't believe me. He thought I was insane to suggest Riddle all because Riddle's a good student. I even suggested to show him where the Chamber is but he threatened to expel me if I continued telling him that it was Riddle." Rose explained to them.

"Oh Merlin's beard! So there could possibly be another attack?" Blanche said, patting her hands against her face.

"No there isn't." Rose said smirking.

"How do you know?" Dorothy asked Rose.

"Because I told the creature not to listen to Riddle no matter what he said and to stay in the Chamber to be safe from the other witches and wizards that are hunting it." Rose told them. Suddenly the scene began to whirl around her as it filled with light again and she felt herself falling and crashed against the floor right beside Harry. Just as Hermione and Harry were getting on their feet, the door opened as Ron came in.

"There you two are," Ron told them.

"Ron! It was Hagrid! Hagrid opened the Chamber of Secrets!" Harry blurted out. Hermione shot him a glare.

"No, it wasn't Harry!" Hermione shouted at him. Harry turned to face her.

"Hermione, I saw the memory! You just weren't there..." Harry started when Hermione cut in.

"That's because I was in another memory. It was of my Great Grandmother Rose! She claimed it was Riddle who opened the Chamber... and she was the one who shut the creature away and made it stay in the Chamber so it wouldn't hurt another student." Hermione stated to them.

"How would she be able to do that?" Ron asked her. Hermione felt a feeling of dread as she admitted...

"Because she found the creature and she could speak with it... just like I can hear it."
