They reached St. Mungo's faster now with the car, which they had to plead with Molly to allow them to take it since Mundungus had to stolen it and was driving the thing. Thankfully her need to get out of the cold outweighed her dislike of him.
The reception area looked pleasantly festive: the crystal orbs had increased in size and were turned to red and gold. Holly hung around every doorway and Christmas trees covered in magical snow and icicles glittered in every corner and topped with a gleaming gold star. They finally reached to Arthur's room and to their surprise found Fenrir sitting over by the guy, who had been bitten by a werewolf, and talking with the lad.
"What is he doing here," Lupin growled with his eyes narrowed at Fenrir. Fenrir shot his head up to find Remus walking over to Arthur. Before Remus and Fenrir start bickering, Hermione leapt in front of Remus as she leaned in towards Fenrir.
"Fenrir, is it alright if I had a word with you?" Hermione asked him. Fenrir nodded while he leaned over to the lad and mumbled an 'excuse me' before getting up and following Hermione at the end of the room.
"What do you need, 'Mione?" He asked her once they were far enough from the group.
"I was wondering when you were a Death Eater or were you a Snatch like Scabior--" Hermione started when Fenrir chuckled.
"Scabior did inform me you had knowledge about our past. Also mentioned how you were asking about a... locket?" Fenrir asked her.
"Yeah, I learned it was Slytherin's Locket. You-Know-Who had it before Regulus... stoled it or something, because once he had it in his grasp, he ordered Kreacher to destroy it. However, Kreacher explained he couldn't do it no matter how hard he tried. And now, I believe it's still in Iracebeth's hand because Kreacher said it was that item she had stoled on the night she murdered Mrs. Black." Hermione said, "So I was wondering if you knew why it was so important for Regulus to steal it from You-Know-Who?"
Fenrir hummed before shaking his head. He opened his mouth to say something when Bill, George and Fred went rushing past them, mumbling about getting a cup of tea before leaving the room.
"I have no idea. I never even knew he had a locket in the first place." Fenrir admitted to her. Hermione was about to thank him for letting her know when Harry came rushing up to her side and grabbing hold of her arm.
"You fancy a cup of tea too," Harry mumbled. Before Hermione could ask him what he even meant, Harry dragged her out of the room with Ginny and Ron followed behind them. They had barely left the room when they could hear Molly shriek, "What do you mean, that's the general idea?"
"Typical Dad," Ginny mumbled while they went down the corridor, "Stitches, I ask you..."
"Well, you know, they do work well on non-magical wounds," Hermione stated to them, "I suppose something in that snake's venom dissolves them or something."
"So did Fenrir give you any information?" Harry asked her.
"According to him, he didn't even know You-Know-Who had a locket. I wonder what is so important for Iracebeth and Regulus to steal it?" Hermione wondered.
"Hey I think this is our floor? We're supposed to be on the fifth," Harry suggested.
"No, we're on the fourth. One more--" Ginny started when they came to an halt as soon as a man came standing in front of them.
"Blimey!" Ron shouted.
"Professor Lockhart?" Hermione asked unable to believe it. Lockhart stood in front of them, wearing a long lilac dressing gown.
"Well hello there!" he said, "I expect you'd like my autograph, would you?"
"Hasn't changed a bit, has he?" Harry muttered as Ginny chuckled.
