It was hard for Hermione and Ron to wrestle the newcomers with them towards Gryffindor Tower because they were all so panic-filled like they were waiting for something bad to happen to them. Soon Hermione and Ron were able to get the first years settled and went back towards their dorm room. Hermione was getting her things settled into place when she noticed a few girls were staring at her.

"What?" she asked, pulling out her pajamas from her trunk. Lavender stood up suddenly as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"My mum didn't want me to come back this year because of you and Harry." She shot at Hermione. She glared at Lavender before setting her PJs onto her bed.

"Why's that?" Hermione asked her.

"The Daily Prophet's been saying a lot about you two and Dumbledore." Lavender stated to Hermione, "Look what did happen that night when Cedric Diggory died?"

Hermione's glared at Lavender.

"I'm not talking about that. Besides, why don't you read the Daily Prophet like your stupid mother? Surely it'll tell you all you need to bloody know!" Hermione screamed at them all.

"Don't you have a go at my mother!"

"I'LL HAVE A GO AT ANYONE WHO CALLS ME A LIAR!"

"What's going on?" Ginny came rushing in, looking confused at everyone.

"She's mad that's what's going on!" Lavender shouted, pointing at Hermione, "do you believe all that rubbish she's come out with about You-Know-Who?"

"Yeah, I do!" Ginny shot at Lavender, "Anyone has any problem with Hermoine better watch out! She's a prefect. So unless you want to get a month's worth's of detentions, you better watch your mouth!"

Lavender rolled her eyes before turning back to the other girls. Ginny lightly patted Hermione's shoulder.

"You alright," she asked.

"Yeah-- this year's already becoming a nightmare." Hermione mumbled before getting ready for bed.

Just as Hermione was waking up, she saw how almost all the girls in her dorm had gotten dressed and left before herself. She rolled her eyes as she made her way down to the common room. Just as she walked into the common room, she soon faced a sign that read:

"FRED! GEORGE!" Hermione shrieked as she hurried around to hunt them down. It took about a minute or so when she finally got hold of them. Fred and George were holding out boxes of testers around them.

"Oh! Hello Hermione! Come to try some Skiving Snackbox?" Fred asked.

"Fred and George I don't want your testers anywhere in the Gryffindor Tower! Do you hear me?" She asked them, glaring at them.

"Oh, come on, Hermione? It's just to help our joke shop," George claimed.

"I'm not allowing this. I don't care. I'm not putting up with any of this anymore." Hermione shot at them. Fred and George looked at each other before returning their gaze over towards Hermione.

"Anymore? We've only set up the signs this morning," Fred told her. Hermione bit her lips as she felt her cheeks flare up.

"Nothing, just get rid of these," Hermione ordered them. Fred crossed his arms over his chest.

"What's going on, Hermione?" Fred asked her. She shrugged her shoulders.

"I got into a fight with Lavender, who believes in the Daily Prophet that Harry and I and Dumbledore are lying about You-Know-Who returning. Worst she-- she--" Hermione fumbled, shaking her head.

"Yeah?" George asked.

"She asked me to tell her-- about the night Cedric died... and-- and-- I'm not ready--" Hermione mumbled, looking away as she blinked her eyes rapidly to stop herself from crying. She felt a hand tenderly lay on her shoulder.

"Hey, we understand. You can tell people when you're ready," Fred stated to her before he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. Hermione returned the hug as she buried her head in his neck. The moment was cut short when a voice spoke up,

"Aw-- how touching," Hermione jolted when she turned to see Jordan, of all people, standing in the middle of Gryffindor Common Room her hands clinging to the strap of her satchel with her spider crawling on her shoulder like she belonged there. Hermione's eyes widened as she tilted her head to the side, thinking she had somehow cracked.

"How-- how did you get in here?" Hermione said in disbelief, "Only Gryffindors are supposed to be in here."

"I'm friends with Lizzy."

"Who?"

"You don't know Lizzy? She's your bloody portrait for Merlin's sake! Her full name's Elizabeth Spriggs. She lets me in here from time to time when I've had enough with the Slytherin's attitude. I've been getting into all of the common rooms since day one because they're all easy. Ravenclaw you just have to answer a riddle and justify your answer and Hufflepuff is just remembering the pattern of the barrels... or easiest method have a lot of Hufflepuff friends." Jordan admitted to them as she reached up and picked up her spider.

"Wicked!" Fred and George said in union while Hermione shook her head in disbelief.

"And? This is one of your times you sneak in here?" Hermione asked.

"Actually, I've never snuck into another dorm this early in the morning. But everyone's already stressing out about O.W.L.s and I don't need that type of annoyance while I'm studying. Mum and Dad warned me my fifth year's going to be hell on earth with everybody freaking out about failing their O.W.L.s and all." Jordan stated.

"Yeah, that's this year! Fifth year is always the worst." George claimed while Fred nodded in agreement.

"Hey, all I care about is getting Outstanding on my Care of Magical Creatures and Defense Against the Dark Arts exams. But I'm having doubts with this new teacher for the D.A.D.A. I don't know what it is, but Professor Toad-Face gives me the creeps. They're just isn't anything right with someone that wears all pink... but look who's talking? I bet everyone says the same thing for people who wear all black." Jordan declared with a sly grin.

"I have to agree with you, Jordan. She's from the Ministry, which means they're going to stick their nose in our business---" Hermione started until Jordan cut in.

"And if anyone so much as declares You-Know-Who's back in business, you'll be finding your ass out of Hogwarts, right?"

"So you believe he's back?" Fred asked, sounding surprised.

"Are you kidding? When word got out about him, Grans started boarding and enchanting up the house and told us not to believe a word the Daily Prophet says because they're going to be falling into You-Know-Who's plan of cover. Claims he'll take his sweet time till it's good enough to strike like the snake he is. When they least expect him," Jordan stated to them, "Now if you don't mind, I'm getting a bit peckish. I'm going down to the Great Hall for breakfast. See you all down there."

Jordan turned on her heels so fast they hadn't time to adjust her being there one minute and gone the next. Hermione and the twins shared a glance at each other before shrugging their shoulders and began heading after her.
