Hermione was thankful enough to be with her Grandma again. It felt more warmer and safer around her than it did with that boy. Hermione kept quiet while she ate her ice that Grandma Elka handed her. Of course, Grandma noticed quickly.

"What's eating you up?" she asked Hermione.

"Nothing," Hermione lied while they quickly bought parchment and quills and ink. Hermione enjoyed the colorful ink set she found. The moment they left the shop Hermione asked, "Grandma, what's Quidditch?"

"OH! It's a damn sport people go gaga over. I don't see the big fuss about it. I mean sure it's cool see a game or two but it's not really anything special. I might be saying that mostly because I don't really care for sports. I was more academic." Grandma explained to Hermione. Hermione than proceeded to tell Grandma about the boy in the shop and Grandma burst out laughing.

"You know who he reminds me of. Lucius Malfoy! Oh! He was one of the cockiest jerks in the whole school of Hogwarts. All because his family is one of the old families still living. I hated his guts!" Grandma growled, shaking her head.

"Did you went to Hogwarts, Grandma?" Hermione asked, noticing how her Grandma knew a wizard when she was claiming to be a Squib. Grandma Elka froze a bit as she seemed to be trying to figure out what to say next.

"No, my sister did and she told me about him. Then sometimes when our family went to parties we ran into each other. You know when you cross paths with a Malfoy, trust me!" Grandma Elka claimed.

"And what are Slytherin and Hufflepuff?"

"Oh, those are school houses. Slytherin is the snake house, their colors are green and silver and they're best known for being cunning, ambitious, and resourceful. Hufflepuff is the badger house, their colors are yellow and black and they're best known for being loyal, patience, and dedication. Then there's Ravenclaw, which is the eagle house, their colors are blue and bronze, and they're known for knowledge, curiosity, and wit. Lastly Gryffindor which is the lion house, their colors are red and gold, and they're known for bravery, chivalry, and daring." Grandma Elka explained to Hermione, "Which I don't care which house you're in."

"Well I don't want to be in the same house as that boy," Hermione claimed. Grandma Elka laughed.

"Mostly people avoid Slytherin because of You-Know-Who." Grandma Elka stated before jolting up.

"Who?" Hermione asked. Grandma Elka waved her hand.

"Just forget it. Let's go back to your list." Grandma changed the subject while motioning for Hermione to head towards another shop.

A couple of shops later, Hermione had most of her things she needed and a little extra. Hermione bought herself a few new books she thought appeared interesting. Grandma Elka glanced down at her wish.

"Okay, we've just need a wand. Oh! I forgot, I wanted to buy you a present." Grandma Elka mumbled, "Hermione you go to Ollivanders and I'm going to go get you a pet."

Hermione nearly started shrieking right there in the street. She had always wanted a pet but her parents thought since they were too busy and she was too young she couldn't take care of it. Plus they didn't exactly have the money... at least muggle money. Hermione rushed over towards the shop with the word Ollivanders written across it. She slipped through the door where a light bell rang out.

"Hello?" Hermione called out, wondering if anyone was even in the shop.

"Hello," A soft voice echoed over to her. It came suddenly Hermione jumped a few inches from the ground. An old man popped out from a row of wands as he proceeded to keep his eyes glued on the boxes.

"I'm not surprise to see you here, Miss Granger. Given your family tree, I gave out more wands to your family than anyone else's." He stated to her, pulling out a box. Hermione narrowed her eyes. She didn't understand what he was talking about but he did. He pulled out a long stick with a metal end before handing it to her. She held tightly to it as she gave him a look.

"Give it a wave." He told her. She mumbled an 'oh' before waving it. A bunch of boxes flew from their shelves, causing Hermione to blush in embarrassment.

"Not that one," Ollivander said before going back to grab another wand and handed it to her. She did the same thing, only for his lamp to break this time. Ollivander shook his head, mumbling  that it was clearly not the one. She watched as he went deeper in his store and pulled out a box from the far back. He stood there for a minute as he mumbled "I wonder..." then headed over to her. He held out a light brown wand with golden vines wrapped around it. The moment her hand grabbed it, she watched as suddenly a wilted flower in a vase not only came to life but started to multiply.

"Curious... very curious..." he mumbled.

"I'm sorry but what is?" she asked him.

"I remember every wand I've ever sold, Miss Granger. It so happens that this is a rare wand. Rare because it is made of numerous woods and cores, you see, unlike other wands. Hawthorn, Redwood and Yew for the wood. Phoenix Feather, White River Monster Spine... and basilisk horn for the core. It is curious indeed that you should be destined for this wand out of all the wands of my shop... when a wand so similar to this... belonged to your first Ancestor." Ollivander claimed to her with a gentle nod of his head.

"It's curious indeed how these things happen. The wand chooses the wizard, though. I think we'll expect great things from you, Miss Granger... after all, your Ancestor did great things as well." Ollivander declared to her. Hermione shook her head as she paid for the wand then hurried out of there, now starting to not like the idea of coming to this wizarding world.
