"Why am I not surprise, she doesn't know shit?" Iracebeth growled as Barty held Umbridge down to her chair, extracting memories from her head. Iracebeth was searching for something important, but she refused to tell Barty what it was. She was starting to have her doubts of trusting him, feared he might becoming more questionable about her. She needed it desperately. She needed the information she was searching for, but it wasn't here.
"Well--" Barty spoke up, "I mean it was interesting to learn she is working for Voldemort."
"Yes, that gives me a bit of hope for our situation." Iracebeth said, fixing her coat.
"Why?" Barty asked her.
"Because it shows where Voldemort stands. You see, him hiring her of all people to be in this situation tells me he's desperate. Desperate to win, desperate to defeat Harry and Dumbledore and everyone against him, desperate because he knows he's not as powerful as he was nor will he ever be again. And when people are desperate, they make mistakes... like say... invite the wrong people in." Iracebeth stated, a smirk on her face.
"Are you saying, my mistress... we'll be trying to join the Death Eaters?" Barty asked her.
"Of course, you fool! How do you expect for us to kill him if we're not close enough? Why do you think I've been running around, searching for objects that I know mean so much to him, things... he wouldn't want the wrong people to get." Iracebeth stated to them, "now the only problem is, I need the Sword of Gryffindor."
"Why?"
"Because it's the only thing that will destroy the objects! Sadly, I've only have two objects left to collect, which are not going to be easy to obtain right now. Thankfully, though time is on our side." Iracebeth admitted to him before proceeding towards the door, "now, come on, we need to get going before someone noticed us being her."
Without another word, Iracebeth and Barty apparated from where they stood, leaving behind an unconscious Umbridge.
"That mysterious woman showed again?" Ron asked as they were making their way to the common room. Harry had finished telling the three of them about what happened while he was taking Hedwig to the hospital wing.
"Yeah, and apparently she's friends with Umbridge... yet she gave me information warning me to watch out about using Hedwig or any owls to send letters. It's kind of confusing to see where she actually stood." Harry explained while they walked through the portrait and took their seats in front of the fireplace.
"What did she say exactly?" Hermione asked.
"That Umbridge requested to meet her and whoever it was underneath that cloak." Harry stated.
"Well then-- maybe she's less of a friend and more of just someone she works with." Hermione claimed before they were interrupted when Sirius's face was sticking out from the fire.
"Hi," he said, grinning.
"Hi," everyone chorused tohim.
"How're things?"
'Not that good. The Ministry's forced through another decree, which means we're not allowed to have Quidditch teams--" Harry started till Sirius cut in.
"--Or secret Defense Against the Dark Arts groups?"
There was a short pause between them.
"How did you know?" Harry asked.
"You may want to choose better meeting places. The Hog's Head, I ask you... Mundungus overheard you lot talking. He was the witch under the veil."
"Why?" Ron asked.
"Well he was banned from Hog's Head twenty years ago, but his shady costumers only go to Hog's Head, so he has to be in disguised." Sirius explained, "But first, I must send a message to Ron from his Mother. Molly said that on no account, Ron, are you to take part in the secret Defense Against the Dark Arts group. You'll be expelled for sure and it will ruin your future. She also advises Hermione and Harry to stop this whole thing, but she understands she has no authority to tell you guys what to do, but begs you to see she has the best interest in heart."
"And what do you say?" Harry asked.
"Oh! I say go for it. Better to be expelled and able to defend yourselves then sitting safely in school without a clue." Sirius claimed.
"Hey, who you guys talking to?" the three jolted as they turned, just as Sirius's face vanished completely, to find Jordan standing behind the couch with her spider on her shoulder, laying peacefully as always.
"Er--Just ourselves. We're trying to figure out where we were going to meet up." Harry explained to her.
"Ah! Oh! Did you guys hear about Umbridge?" Jordan asked with a smirk on her face.
"What?" Ron asked her.
"Apparently she got attacked or something because one of the professors found her and then they brought Madam Pomfrey and Filch to carry her to the Hospital Wing. It was a sight to see." Jordan stated to them.
"Wait? When was this?" Harry asked, his eyes opening wide.
"Um-- I think about half an hour ago, maybe?" Jordan guessed to them. Harry turned towards Hermione and Ron as his eyes said it all. That was around the time he showed the mysterious woman and man to Umbridge's office.
Once they were able to get rid of Jordan, the three of them began to question more about this mysterious woman and man.
"Do you think they might be working for you know who?" Ron asked.
"Maybe? I mean they attacked Umbridge, who's a Ministry official, there's something in the Ministry right know that they're trying to get their hands on... and isn't Voldemort looking for something in the Ministry?" Hermione admitted.
"But then why would she warn me about the owl? Or why not take me to Voldemort himself? I mean it doesn't make any sense?" Harry asked them.
"I don't know. Maybe she's hoping to get on the Order's side by handing out measly information to us to make herself look great?" Ron suggested to them.
"Or-- she might-- I don't know-- maybe she's doing this for herself." Hermione suggested, "I mean, we did figure there was a three person in play here. Maybe it's not just us against the Death Eaters anymore. It's us vs the Death Eaters vs her."
"But what's she get to gain? I mean Death Eaters get a Pureblood world like they wanted to, the Order gets a world free of Death Eaters... What's she in it for?" Ron asked. Hermione shrugged her shoulders, unsure about any of this anymore.
