Chapter 52 - Plot Twist

"Lan Zhan, I'm not sure if I can get through the rest of this...at least until after the thirteen years...but I am having such a hard time with this."

"I know," Lan Zhan replied, "I'm not really looking forward to it either, but we will get through this."

"At the beginning I felt that I might be okay after it's all over... but what's the point in showing all of this. Even with other sects, not many people seem to really care other then family or those who have been resurrected... I can't do this for much longer," Wei Ying started to feel like a rope was tightening around his lungs, "it's too much that it causing me to panic... it's causing more pain for everyone, not just me."

"It's a way for people to just who they really are," Lan Zhan said, "some people have changed since then, others are changing as they watch. I'm changing. The more I watch the more I want to be beside you, to help you, to hold and hug you, and just, love you."

"Lan Zhan," Wei Ying started to cry, "I just want this to be over. It's so exhausting to see it all again... and now people are hearing my thoughts and feelings... I don't know how I feel about it... violated maybe."

"Shhh," Lan Zhan said wiping the tears from his cheeks, "it will be okay. I'm here, with me beside you it will feel as if it's a dream."

"A very vivid one," Wei Ying added and looked into Lan Zhan's golden eyes, "can I ask something of you?"

"Of course, you don't need to make sure, just ask," Lan Zhan told him with a nod.

"Kiss me," Wei Ying demanded.

Lan Zhan responded immediately. His lips connected with his husband's as he wrapped his arms around him. Lan Zhan leaned back against the headboard of the bed as Wei Ying snaked his arms around the man's neck. Lan Zhan's kissing become more rough. Both of them were getting lost in the moment.

A thought suddenly came to Wei Ying's mind and he pulled away from the kiss, "oh no!"

"What?" Lan Zhan asked.

"You and I are the only one's who really know what happens right after I took off at Baifeng mountain... people assumed I ran into Wen Qing first..." Wei Ying began.

"Oh..." then it hit him, Wangji and Wuxian's biggest secret is about to be exposed.

"Do you think the boys will be mad?" Wei Ying asked.

"Maybe at first... but also, how censored is this going to be? Shufu is going to die if Qi Deviation."

"Maybe we should speak with Baoshan," Wei Ying suggested, "also, the fact that I even allowed it when my body was in complete shambles... but I'm not mad about it..."

"I didn't care at the time," Lan Zhan said, "also how could you not know such a thing about your body? Can that even still happen?"

"No," Wei Ying said, "Wen Qing said it was a one time thing... and so far I believe her, otherwise I think more Lan's would be running around."

"Let's go talk to Baoshan," Lan Zhan suggested but chuckled at his comment.

Just as they were about to leave the room, Baoshan came in, "Zumu, we were actually going to go looking for you."

"I had a gut feeling you might," she said, "for the next screening session... something to keep your Shufu calm and then maybe ask the juniors to step out or warn them of mature content."

"Maybe warn them first and then ask if they want to step out, they are all around fifteen to seventeen so they should know how that stuff works... and it's censored."

"On screen it is... sort of," Baoshan said, "narrative wise... I'm not promising anything."

Wei Ying sighed, "I'm not sure if I'm ready for them to know this... but the boys have been kept in the dark for so long... I guess it was mostly because we didn't want them to be judged for it..."
