-Ananya's House-
As soon as Ananya heard her Aunt's words, her body became stiff and pale. After the recent happenings in her life, she had never spared a thought about her wedding at all. Today when her Aunt suddenly told about the marriage, she was confused as to what to say. So she remained silent with a stoic face.
Seeing her extremely silent, Karuna decided to proceed with her wicked plan. She slowly stroked Ananya's hands as if comforting her and started saying-
"Anu, I can understand your thoughts.. I know you feel all this to be rushed and you may feel that this is not the right time to talk about your marriage and all.. But beta, you know right I have taken your responsibility now? It is my responsibility now to settle your life properly. I feel this is the perfect time to start searching for an alliance for you.. See you are already 25 now and if we start searching an alliance for you from now on so you can get married by 26.. " Karuna suggested in a sweet way.
"But Masi.. is this all necessary now.. I mean its not even a month since maa passed away and now you are asking about my marriage.. I don't feel it right" Ananya confessed. Karuna hearing her words became angry but decided to play it cool. She caressed Ananya's hairs smoothly and asked-
"Who said I am going to marry you off tomorrow itself.. I just said we can start looking for alliances from now on..who knows when will the perfect man for you would arrive... and what do you think I'll marry you off just like that to some random person? Never! I will search the best groom for you in the world. He'll be one of a kind. After all you are my sister's sweetest daughter how can I let you marry so carelessly..?" She asked with a small smile.
Ananya faked a smile hearing her words, just not to disappoint her mood. If only she knew the intentions of her aunt...
"So Ananya.. what do you say.. shall I start searching for your prince charming?" Her aunt quipped.
"And I promise, I will find you the best one. But Ananya, before that tell me frankly, do you love anyone?" she added further.
'Masi no matter how hard you search.. you can never find the man of my dreams.. my prince charming.. after all he is someone else's king now.. but yeah.. I'll never let you know this.. I'll take this secret to my grave only.' Ananya thought sadly remembering how hard it is forget the person whom she loves the most , seeing him living happily right in front of her eyes every single day.
"No Masi.. I don't love anyone.." she denied right away keeping a yet another huge rock in her heart.
"Thank God.. at least you didn't turn out like your mother.." she taunted indirectly. She deliberately whispered it loud enough for Ananya to hear. Ananya closed her eyes tightly and visualized her father and mother standing together smiling happily at each other just to avoid thinking of her bitter past. After a few seconds, she yet again opened and saw her Aunt still standing beside her. Ananya maintained a stoic face, keeping her emotions in control.
"So, is it yes from you.. shall I start looking for proposals for you?.. and also I can assure you.. I'll not marry you off till Kripa and Anuj's six month death anniversary.. so you've got plenty of time to prepare yourselves for your new and future life.." she pointed out.
