CONFERENCE HALL

It was Thursday already. The meeting with the builders went quite smoothly and they were satisfied with the presentation and all. Once the meeting was over, the conference hall was empty except for Karan and Ananya who were last among the ones to leave. After the last delegate left the hall, Karan was extremely exhausted, so to relax himself, he stretched a little when by mistake, he lost his grip and fell on Ananya who was standing beside him collecting the files and laptop from her place. Due to the force with which he fell on her, both of them landed on the floor with Karan on top of Ananya.

Even before they could understand what had happened and stabilize themselves, the conference hall door flung open to reveal an over enthusiastic Meera who had come to meet Karan. She appalled watching the scene unfolding in front of her. From where she saw it, it looked as if Karan was kissing Ananya, because their faces were extremely close to each other. She interprets a wrong meaning of their position and became furious seeing them both in such a state so left from there without creating any scene. She decided to deal with Karan once he comes back home. When they both realized their position, Karan quickly moved away from her and lied flatly on the floor, allowing her to get up easily. When she tried getting up from her place, she pulled back once again harshly by something tugging her dress in the shoulders. That's when they noticed Karan's chain hook being stuck to her kurti's top. Since her kurti had cotton embroidery over it was difficult for them to detach the hook without damaging the design. After a few attempts, Ananya was successful in removing it.

After that, they both straightened themselves and Karan apologized to her immediately which she dismissed generously as it was an unknown mistake. Then, they both dispersed to their respective places without an other word.

-Karan's Cabin-

Karan was pacing his room in tension. He was feeling bad and awkward about the conference Hall's incident. This was the first time something like this has ever happened to him, which he feels to be embarrassing and awkward. He has always maintained a good image and reputation among his subordinates, never once prior to this had happened like this. He felt guilty. The incident seems to have changed something in him. Now, he hesitates to call her in his cabin thinking that it wouldn't be appropriate. There was war going in his mind whether to call her in or not. He was torn between apologizing to her yet again or not. He didn't want to make things more awkward between them by not apologizing, but he was not ready to apologize either, some unknown feeling was stopping him. When he was drowned in these thoughts, a knock at his door brought him back to reality. He immediately allowed the person in. To his surprise, the person was none other than Ananya, who entered his cabin very casually, like whatever happened was nothing. He was stunned to see her behave so casually. He stopped walking around his cabin and looked at her at once. She was perplexed to him tensed. In fact, she became worried for a moment looking at his sweaty figure. Yes, he was sweating very badly now, that too in an A/C cabin. Even before she could stop herself, the words slipped out of her mouth-

"Sir, Are you okay? Is everything fine.. you seem to sweat a lot suddenly?" she asked in worry, pointing at his slightly drenched shirt which was partly visible through his over coat.
