"Ahhh! Woah! What the hell?!" Beomgyu's scream echoed through the apartment, as he stumbled back against his bedroom door in shock.

"Gyu you scared me!" Soobin squealed, hand pressed over his racing heart.

"Scared you?! Why the fuck are you in my apartment?!"

"Don't be mad at me! You're the one who got so off his face, that I had to come look after you." He put the emphasis on I, pointing to himself. "Guess you can't remember much. Are you hungry?" Soobin asked, two strips of bacon sizzling as he put them into the pan.

Beomgyu walked over to the kitchen, trying to piece together what happened during his high. "Did I call you or something? You don't ever come here randomly."

"No, Yeonjun did though. He spent two hours looking after you, then needed to go to work. That's how I got roped into this whole thing." Soobin explained, flipping over the bacon. "I took a day off for you."

"Well you don't have to be here." Beomgyu grumbled, ruffling his messy bed hair.

"And who's gonna make sure you're not dead, if I leave huh?" Soobin raised his brows.

He had a point.

Though, dying was really the least of Beomgyu's concerns at the moment.

"It would be really nice to get an 'Oh thank you Soobin,' or 'You took such good care of me Soobin,' once in a while. In reality, all I get is screams of fright and 'What the fuck are you doing in my apartment?' " Soobin scoffed, grabbing two slices of bread from a half opened packet on the counter. He placed the bacon in between the two halves, squirted on a line of ketchup, then handed it to Beomgyu. "Eat this."

He accepted the sandwich, and took a seat on his couch. "What was I like last night? I didn't say anything weird did I?"

"Still no thank you." Soobin mumbled to himself, slumping down next to Beomgyu on the couch. "You were just super clingy, but I wasn't with you the whole night, so I don't know."

"Did Yeonjun say anything?"

Soobin raised a brow. "Is there something you don't want us knowing?"

Yes.

"No." Beomgyu shook his head, and took a big bite of his sandwich.

Soobin could sense that something was up, but didn't prod any further. Beomgyu wasn't the type to talk about his feelings, usually retaliating in anger when they're brought up. So it was never worth it.

"We should go out later; make the most of my day off." Soobin said, knowing that Beomgyu would benefit from being out of this grubby apartment for a few hours. "The guys are performing in town, wanna go watch them?"

"Sure, I haven't got anything better to do."

Youngmi stepped into the office, eyes scanning the unfamiliar room. It was bigger than Taehyun's old office, but felt much colder, and unwelcoming. It needed those personal touches to give it that 'lived in' vibe, or it would never actually feel like his own.

"I wanted to visit you, I thought you might like that." She said, and smiled at Taehyun softly.

"I do, but you didn't have to." He replied. "I see you at home, there's no need to come here."

She dropped her smile. "Well I wanted to. I'm meant to be meeting your mother for lunch anyway, so if you'd rather me leave, then I'll head there early."

"Youngmi, don't be like that. You know I'm only looking out for you."

The last thing he wanted Youngmi to be was uncomfortable, and especially if shes putting herself in that position for him. This workplace wasn't like his old one. The people weren't as friendly; the people weren't as kind. Things may be looking up, but those drastic changes had not yet been made.

"I know, but you don't have to be so frigid all the time Taehyun. Things are bad between us, and I just wanted to do something nice, can't you see that?" Youngmi sounded frustrated, letting out a long winded sigh. "You don't have to protect me from my own choices. I chose to visit you, which means I understand what I'm getting myself into."

Four years of protecting Youngmi, and she expects him to just stop? It was way more complicated than that. Nonetheless, he listened to her frustration, and knew he had to change something.

She was right, things were bad between them, but it didn't have to stay that way.

He slowly walked over to Youngmi, and gently wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry, thank you for coming."

She tensed at first, but eventually relaxed into the hug.

"I was meaning to speak to you about something this evening." He pulled away. "But since you're here, I'll tell you now. Come with me..." He took her hand, and guided her over to his desk. She sat down on one of the arm chairs, whilst he flipped through a pile of Paper work. Eventually he found what he was looking for, handing it to Youngmi.

It was a brochure from 'Huening real estate agents.' "What's this for?"

"I want us to get a house together, one away from my parents." Youngmi looked up at him in surprise. "If we are staying here, I want us to have a place of our own."

"Really? That would be amazing Tae."

"That's my uncles company, and I've already spoken to my cousin, who's agreed to help us find a home." He added, resting against the front of his desk. "I'm going to be extremely busy with work soon, so I'm hoping you can take charge in the search. You know I trust your judgement."

This won't only give Youngmi a place of her own, but also something to do in the meantime. She'll be able to get out of the house, and away from Taehyun's mother. Have some freedom again.

"Of course. I would love that." Her smile went from ear to ear, as she flicked through the brochure. "When can I meet with him?"

"I'll phone him today and set up an appointment."
