Taehyun and Youngmi walked through the door as the clock struck 11. The maids were busy cleaning, so the lights were still on. Instantly, Taehyun was ushered out of the way by one of the maids, who wanted to hoover the door mat. If they hung around for too long, the maids would surely complain, so they quickly made their way towards the staircase.
"I'll be at the office tomorrow, but once I'm back we can discuss our next move." Taehyun said, taking the first step up. Breaking off the engagement was easy, dealing with the fall out wasn't. They needed to have a plan, or else they'd be chucking themselves in at the deep end.
"Alright." Youngmi yawned, tiredly trudging up the staircase. "I'll start making some arrangements."
Taehyun halted his steps, turning to Youngmi with furrowed brows. "Arrangements?"
"Like where I'll go..."
"You're not going anywhere." Taehyun stated firmly. He softened his gaze on the woman, then started walking again. He spoke as he walked. "At least for now. I'm not just going to send you out on your own, we're in this together. I'll help you arrange everything in due time, don't worry about it for now."
A quiet hum was all he heard from Youngmi.
As they reached the top of the staircase, his phone began to ring. "I'll answer this." He says, and Youngmi mutters a 'good night' before heading off to bed. He wonders who could be calling him at this late of night, and as he sees the caller id, he instantly feels his heart drop. Maybe his worries were just heightened because of what he had been discussing with Youngmi earlier. So he ignores the butterflies in his stomach and answers the call.
"What is it Yeonjun?"
"I'm in the hospital with Beomgyu..."

Two men sat in a packed hospital waiting room. The atmosphere was a mix of depressing and lively, as the little kids running around contrasted greatly with the man crying in the corner. It fucking sucked to be there, that overly clean smell already causing a headache. Beomgyu couldn't have wished to be anywhere else, and his attitude made that clear.
"You sure you're okay?"
"Yes for the millionth time, i'm fine." Beomgyu sighed, slouching further in his plastic chair. He side eyed the man beside him. "Where did you go?"
"I called Taehyun." Yeonjun replied, not seeing a reason to hide the information. He was slightly concerned Beomgyu may flip out, but things seemed to be better between the two.
"Of course you did." Beomgyu scoffed.
He wasn't mad, just a little irked. His friends basically believed he couldn't live without Taehyun, like he didn't spend the past five years without him. He loves Taehyun, but if he wanted him here, he would have called him himself.
He didn't even want Yeonjun here. The only reason he came, was because Beomgyu needed a ride. They were all working on the new song, when he got a call from Yoongi. He debated walking to the hospital, but it was on the opposite side of town, and no buses were running this late at night. He still wasn't great at opening up, so he didn't want to tell the whole group. He confided in Yeonjun eventually, as out of everyone, he trusted him the most.
He really didn't enjoy showing people the reality of his fucked up life.
It made it more real for him.
Yeonjun crossed one leg over the other and leaned back. "How are you guys doing anyway? I heard you kissed at the gig on Saturday." He commented casually.
"It's none of your business." Beomgyu hissed, which caused Yeonjun to laugh. His face formed a scowl, as he turned turned towards him. "What's so funny?"
"You're always so hostile, especially about Taehyun. How hard is it to admit to me, that you want to get back with him?"
"Whatever."
People were constantly coming in and out of the waiting room. From doctors, to visitors, even patients, there was so many people, that Beomgyu stopped paying attention. He busied himself by fiddling with his fingers, or watching the clock tick, or putting up with Yeonjun's annoying conversations. He never even noticed the blonde coming towards him, until Yeonjun stood up suddenly.
"Thanks for coming." Yeonjun said, while patting Taehyun's shoulder.
Taehyun smiled at him briefly, before directing his gaze at Beomgyu. Their eyes met, and Beomgyu instantly felt a sense of relief. He didn't think he needed Taehyun here, so why did it feel so good that he was?
"What's happened?" Taehyun questioned, sitting down in the seat Yeonjun had been prior to his arrival. As there was no seat free on Beomgyu's other side, and Yeonjun wanted to make sure Taehyun was there for Beomgyu, he took the free seat beside Taehyun.
There was just something about Kang Taehyun. He could comfort you with nothing more than his presence. Beomgyu's attitude of before melted away, revealing the much softer and vulnerable side of himself.
He took Taehyun's hand and intertwined their fingers. "Mum's going through withdrawal."
"Oh I'm sorry Gyu, how are you feeling?"
"I'm okay, it's not the first time."
"Well I'm here for you as long as you need me." Taehyun lent forward, placing a gentle kiss on Beomgyu's forehead. He suddenly felt a tapping on his arm from Yeonjun, who silently pointed towards the door.
Yoongi came in, and looked around for a minute. When he spotted the group, he quickly came over. "Your mums gonna be fine, they're taking her up to a ward soon. She'll stay tonight, and get re-accessed tomorrow. You should go home and rest."
Beomgyu nodded. He wasn't the only one who needed rest, so did his mother. There was no point in staying if she was just going to sleep.
"How did you get here Tae?" Yeonjun asked.
"I got an uber."
"I'll drop you off then."
Beomgyu and Yeonjun started gathering up their stuff, but Taehyun focused on the man already leaving. He excused himself for a moment, rushing after Yoongi.
"Yoongi!" He called, and the man swung around.
"You know, I didn't think I'd see you again kid."
Neither did Taehyun.
"What'd you want?"
"I'll pay for her treatment, and any future treatment. If she needs rehab, or therapy, or anything-"
"Stop right there." Yoongi cut him off, causing silence for a moment. After a few seconds passed, he let out a long sigh. "I get that you want to help, but I'm dealing with it. You're offering to pay because you love Beomgyu, it's admirable. Though all I need you to do is look after him. Do that, and you've done enough in my eyes."
Yoongi really wasn't your stereotypical drug lord. There was a strange sincerity in his words, almost as if he cared for Beomgyu. A drug dealer doesn't pay for an addicts treatment, there was something different about him. So for some reason, Taehyun respected his words. If he needed him to look after Beomgyu, he was going to take that responsibility very seriously.
