Wrench- Rival

When I first joined Prime_Eight all I heard Lenni talk about was how much DedSec pissed her off, and how my British accent reminded her of Harry Potter.

Now 3 months later we're sitting in a bar with a few more members of Prime_Eight waiting for DedSec to arrive so we can finally sort out a truce.

A group of hipster looking people walk in and I assume they're DedSec. Who I assume to be the leader walks over to us, he's dark skinned and introduces himself as Marcus, but I already knew that.

Earlier this evening I managed to hack into DedSec and find out who they all are, to be fair I was bloody impressed with their security but it still didn't stop me from getting in.

As we all go sit at a table, Prime_Eight on one bench and DedSec on the other, I feel eyes staring at me, I look opposite me to find a robotic mask staring intently at me.

"What the bloody Hell are you looking at?" I ask the masked man, hoping the nervousness in my voice didn't show.

"Well I guess I was trying to work out how you ended up with Lenni and her merry gang of assholes" He says in a robotic voice.

I use my fist to smother a laugh and look away, hoping Lenni didn't see my defenses lower a smidge.

Bad luck, she gives me a death glare and I say "Let's not have a scuffle right now,  not in the mood".

Lenni and I haven't always seen eye to eye in these past few months, and on numerous occasions people have had to pry us away from punching each other.

"How did you get past our systems" Marcus asks Lenni, she looks dumbfounded for a moment before giving a sarcastic answer deflecting the fact she has no clue what he's on about.

I blush and stare at the table, but feel a foot kick mine and look up to see masked dude looking at me, I look down the table and notice that now everyone is staring at me.

I blush deeper and mutter a "Bugger".

"Can we keep her?" Masked man asks Lenni as if he's asking for a puppy, she scoffs and rolls her eyes, ever with theatrics.

"Ahem, what Wrench means is that you got skills, and it's clear you and Prime_Eight don't see eye to eye, so come join us at DedSec" the girl with purple hair, who I know to be Sitara, asks.

My eyes widen as I quickly run the pros and cons in my head. "Okay, but you've got to improve your security, it's shite" I laugh shyly and look to the masked man, I now know as Wrench.

His mask switches quickly from X_X to 0_o as he nods carefully.

"Alright, I'd say this meeting called a good truce" Marcus says getting up. I'm unsure whether to follow the group or what to do, when a tattooed hand is held out in front of me, helping me up.

I take the hand and walk off with DedSec, but before I leave a curl my hand into a fist and shake it horizontally at Lenni.

Everyone looks confused and Wrench asks "What was that all about?". I laugh and reply "It's a British thing, Lenni always teased me about my accent so I thought it was fitting".

Wrench laughs and high fives me, but I completely miss which makes him laugh even more, "We're going to be great friends Y/N."

I look up to him shocked, and ask "How do you know my name?". He shrugs and walks in front of me, "You're not the only one with impressive hacking skills".

I can tell I'll have a new rival in the art of hacking, but I'm always up for a challenge.
