I stare at the sight in front of me. What was supposed to be a surprising and happy reunion now feels like the biggest mistake.

I watch as Wrench wraps his arms around someone around my age. She's pretty and has gorgeous purple hair, and a part of me wants to feel happy he's found someone.

I mean, I have been gone for two years.

She hugs him back then her eyes find mine from inside of the coffee shop. Panicking I step away from the pavement, dashing across the streets as I try to get as far away as possible before-

"Y/n?" Wrench shouts. I stop and turn around, the evening streets of San Francisco aren't as busy as usual thank God.

"Hey!" I shout back with way too much enthusiasm, even waving to prove a point.

Wrench jogs across the street and pulls me in for a hug. I stand limply, arms not cooperating with my brain.

"What's wrong? You used to be less..." Wrench asks, gesturing at my crumpling face.

"I'm sorry, I can't-" I begin, and try to turn around and run. But Wrench's hand grabs my arm and stops me.

"Tell me what's happened." He softly says, cupping my neck.

"You've moved on!" I laugh, I'm officially breaking down, "I know it's so bad, I should be happy for you, but we were so good and I know I have no right to come and say things like this after two years but..." I quickly say, shaking my head as I leave off with a sob.

"I've not moved on, trust me I've thought about you everyday." Wrench mumbles as he leans down and gets eye level with me.

"Who was she?" I ask feeling childish. I avert my eyes and cross my arms.

"Sitara? She's my friend, we work together." He explains, and I know by work he means DedSec.

"Oh." I mumble, looking into the distance as I try to wrap my head around the feelings I have.

"You're right, we were good together, and now you're back I think we should try again." Wrench murmurs, tucking my hair behind my ear.

I smile and nod, wrapping my arms around his middle so suddenly he stumbles.

"Whoa, I forgot how aggressive you are with everything." He chuckles, hugging me back.
