My birthday is coming up in a dew days, and I'll be turning 21, I'm a little excited but since my parents neved had a lot lf money, birthdays were always small and quiet.

"Soo any plans for your birthday? You're now old enough to drink yourself into oblivion, which is really fun but definitely not reccomended" Wrench says, spinning on his stool at his work bench.

"Nope, no plans, I just want to do something chill and maybe watch the sunset at the beach" I reply, whilst analysing a code on my laptop.

"What do want for your birthday?" Josh says, coming up behind me so quietly I startle and put my hand to my chest.

"Jesus, maybe I'd like to live ling enough to reach my birthday" I laugh.

"Considering you're perfectly healthy and have a fairly unsociable life I'd say you're more likely to live longer than the average-" Josh begins, I hold a hand up and nod, "Yeah, I didn't mean it literally".

Josh's eyebrows knit together before he walks away, his face has the 'thinking' face I know he gets sometimes.

---The Evening Of My Birthday---

"Are you sure you want to stay here and work? We could take you out for drinks, food or illegal activity?" Marcus says to me with a wink, I laugh it off and shoo my hands, "No seriously, I'm having fun here".

"Nobody's that work efficient." Wrench says ogling the code on my laptop.

"Well I am, I'm in my element here" I say honestly.

After a few more minutes of the group insisting I should go with them, and me telling them I want to stay here, they finally leave me alone...

Until I hear the shuffle of feet and a voice clear behind me, I look to see Josh standing there holding a gift.

"Oh no you didn't?" I ask him excitedly, trying to contain my surprise.

"I wasn't sure what to get you, and since the weather isn't exactly sunset worthy I thought I could get you something like it" He says shrugging.

I rip open the paper and peer into the box, inside is a small bracelet with a small chain of orange, gold and red crystals.

I tear up and thank him.

"If you don't like it, I can't actually return it as I got it from this antique store place that smelled strangely of oranges-" Josh rambles, going red slightly.

"I love it, these are happy tears" I tell him, before holding my wrist out, "do you mind putting it on me please?".

Josh nods and fumbles around putting the bracelet on me, but his touch lingers on my wrist.

I look up and smile at him, and he smiles back.

"We could go get food, I mean just us, unless they happen to be in the exact same restaurant as us, then I guess it would be rude not to join the-" Josh once again rambles nervously.

I giggle and nod, "Yeah sure, let's go get some food".
