"You know, I think it's time we got a pet" I mumble to Wrench one morning, we're still snuggled in bed from the previous night.

I feel Wrench chuckle, "A pet? Like a cat or something?" He asks.

I lean up, taking the duvet with me, "No, I think a cat is a big commitment, maybe something small, like a..." I drawl.

Wrench sits up, planting kisses along my shoulders, "Like a?" Wrench teases.

I playfully shove him down, before laying on him again, resting my head on my elbows, "Like a goldfish!" I exclaim after a few moments.

Wrench looks at me quizzically before laughing, my whole body feels like it's on a rollercoaster with Wrench's giggles.

"Hey, I'm serious!" I say pouting.

"Alright sweetheart, I'll get you a pet fish" Wrench finally sighs, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear as I smile.

---The next day---

"Okay, so the tanks all set up and the water should be fine, that means we can go pick up Bubbles today, right?" I ask Wrench excitedly as he checks the temperature of the tank.

"Yeah, that's what the store said" Wrench shrugs.

I grin and dash to put my shoes on, "Come on, lets goo!" I jump up and down, I may be a teeny bit over excited...

We go to the pet store and I pick out the brightest orange fish there is, smiling the whole car ride home through the bag.

"You look like an evil genius" Wrench laughs, helping me out of the car.

"Yeah, well now I've got my sidekick" I shrug before walking into the house.

"Should I be worried you've replaced me?" Wrench asks as I put the bag into the water, letting the fish get used to the change, his arms wrap around me from behind.

"Maybe" I joke.

A few  hours later, I let the goldfish out of the bag and watch as it happily swims around, I put a few pellets into the tank and watch with amazement as the fish chews them and spits them out, before eating them again.

"Y/N, leave the poor thing alone" Wrench sighs from the sofa.

"I am!" I reply, sounding like a child but backing away.

We begin watching a movie when I look towards the tank to see Bubbles stuck in his or her home, a little spaceship.

"Oh my God, shit!" I pounce up from the sofa, Wrench jumps and looks at me as if I've made up my own language.

I run to the tank and open the lid, "What do I do?!" I shout to Wrench, who comes rushing over, I hear a wheeze before he doubles over in laughter.

"Reggie this is serious!" I angrily say, but I'm also smiling.

I stick my hand into the tank and little Bubbles' tail swishes with panic, I grab the spaceship house and try to shake Bubbles out, but it doesn't work and now Wrench is sitting on the floor, tears running down his face.

"It's not funny" I laugh.

"Okay Bubbles, sorry" I mumble as I gently grab the fat fish and pull it from the home, careful not to hurt the poor thing. It works and Bubbles suddenly swims to the other side of the tank, hiding in the plants.

I drop the spaceship to the floor, panting. Laughter bursts out of me and I must sound like a dinosaur, wheezing and slapping my hands on my legs, falling to the floor next to Wrench who is now laughing normally.

"Okay, stop, stop, stop!" I say, holding my stomach.

We both gain composure before I look at him and we both burst out laughing again.
