I wipe the tears with the back of my hand, sniffling as Wrench comes and finds me sitting on the sofa in the hackerspace.

"Hey, are you crying?" Wrench softly asks, crouching in front of me as I turn away.

His hand comes and cups my cheek as he gently turns my head so I'm forced to look at him.

"Talk to me sweetheart." He murmurs, using his thumb to brush my tears away.

I sniffle and clear my voice, before quietly mumbling "My parents are getting a divorce, I don't know how to feel and I'm worried for my sisters, we're supposed to be a family, and now I don't know what to do."

Wrench is quiet for a moment, then gets up and sits next to me as the buzzing of computers fills the silence and emptiness of the hackerspace.

"You can't control what others want or need to do, but it's a shitty situation. Nobody can tell you what to do or how to feel, so all I can say is that I'm here for you." He tells me, and I nod and lean into his shoulder.

"Thank you." I mumble, and his arm wraps around my shoulders and pulls me closer.

"Do you want to go smash something? I've got loads of shit in my garage you can throw." Wrench asks, and I look up and give him a watery smile.

"I don't know, but you always make me feel better, can we just hang out?" I ask, and he nods enthusiastically.

"Sweetheart, I'd run naked through Blume's headquarters to make you feel better." He says followed by a laugh.

"Wearing a neon pink wig?" I ask with a smile, and Wrench shrugs.

"I'd so rock a pink wig, have you seen my pale complexion?" He jokes, nudging his shoulder into mine.

I laugh, "You'd look like a walking lollipop."

"It made you laugh, so the idea's worth it."

I smile and rest my head back on his shoulder, sighing.

"I meant it you know, I am here for you." He mumbles, before grabbing my hand and interweaving our fingers together.

Even though the future is uncertain, I know I'll be okay in the end.
