Jimin's P.o.v~
I walked beside the bed where Y/n was laying. She was fast asleep. She looked beautiful and at peace. I sat at the edge of the bed and softly touched her head. She moved with my hand as her eyes opened. Giving me a warm smile.
"Good morning, Wife."
"Good morning, husband."
I placed my hand on her arm, "I'm off."
She reached out and touched my thigh. I grabbed her hand with both of my hands, "Fly safe." She breathed out, "Text me when you land."
I held onto her hands tighter, "Stay close to Sawyer and Prescott. Come straight home after work."
Knowing her, if I didn't tell her that, she'd go out shopping like crazy. I can't afford to lose her. I'd feel useless being in New York while she was here.
She smiled, her cherry lips meeting with each other, "I will. I promise."
"I love you." I leaned in and kissed her.
As I stood up, I looked back at her. Half naked. Wondering if she was cold. I grabbed the blankets, tucking her in. She held onto my hand as I slowly pulled away. Then, our touch broke, letting go of her fingers as I left.
Y/n's P.o.v~
The new cover had come in of Boyce Fox's book. It seemed he had written the second book and has sent it in.
A knock at my door caught my attention away from the poster layout, "Hi, Mr. Roach."
"Jerry. Come on. Jesus, it's Jerry, okay?" He joked, handing me a packet, "Uh, pre-orders for Boyce Fox. Check that out."
Holy..."200,000?"
"That includes e-books, and marketing. Hasn't even gotten off the blocks yet." Jerry informed, crossing his arms.
"Oh, my god." This was amazing.
"You were right about him having a built-in readership. It's really just...it's good work. That is good work, Y/n." Jerry threw up a fist, "Keep it coming."
I message popped up on my phone from Kate
Kate
Hey stranger!
Drinks tonight? I
got us a table at
The Bunker Club!I opened the chat and began typing,
Y/n:
Love to! But can we do it at my place?Kate:
U kidding me?
BORING!Y/n:
One drink, OK?After work, Sawyer walked with me to the car. As he opened the car door, I turned to him, "Um, Sawyer, can we go to The Bunker Club, please?"
Sawyer shook his head, "Mr. Park said to take you straight home."
Damn..."Well, Mr. Park's not here. I am. So Bunker Club, please."
Sawyer cleared his throat, "Yes, ma'am."
............................................................................
Kate looked at Sawyer then at me, "So really? A personal bodyguard?"
"I know."
"I guess Jin wasn't exaggerating." She added.
Jin? "What do you mean?"
"He said that Jimin arranged security for the whole family after what happened with Hyde. Apparently, they're driving them nuts, and Mia keeps giving her guy the slip...Why do you look at me like you don't know what I'm talking about?"
I shook my head, "I-I don't...know what you're talking about."
She grew concerned, "After they found all those files on Hyde's computer, stuff about Jimin, the Parks? He didn't tell you any of that?"
Was Jack after Jimin and his family? If so...why?
"No. No, he didn't. But I- I'm sure he had his reasons."
Reasons...I'm his wife. He should tell me these things. Why didn't he tell me?
Kate looked up and waved, "Hey, Hi! Excuse me. Can we get two more martinis, please?"
"Of course. Right away." The waiter said, walking away.
I shook my head, "I can't, really. I promised Jimin I would go home."
She rolled her eyes, "Ugh. Come on. You afraid that your hot bodyguard's gonna narc on you?"
I looked at Sawyer, "Yeah." I chuckled, "Probably...How's Jin? What's going on?"
Her smile disappeared, "He's busy. He's working on this big eco project with that architect Gia Matteo."
"The one with the really big..." I sat up straight, pushing my chest out.
"Plans. Yeah, huge plans. And, boy, does Jin like to look at those plans." Her voice cracked as she looked down.
"No. He adores you, Kate."
"I don't know. I just...I have this feeling." She wobbled in her chair as she frowned.
"Why don't you just ask him straight up?"
"Honestly, I don't know if I want to know the answer. Whatever. I hate that I even care this much."
My poor Kate, "No, no."
"Here you go." The waiter said, putting our drinks down.
"Thank you. Just keep 'em coming, will you?" Kate smiled as her eyes seemed red. She smiled big, "And don't ever stop."
That girl bugs her just as much as she bugged me. But still, I'm suppose to go home. I even promised I would. "No, I really can't. I'm gonna get in so much trouble."
Kate smiles at me, "Look at you. You're so..."
"What?"
"Married." She says softly.
"I know," I chuckle, "Honestly, it happened so fast." I looked down at the silver ring, rubbing the diamond in disbelief. It felt like almost yesterday, Jimin and I met again. I remembered that relief feeling once I saw his face. It was hard to forget him. He didn't make it any easier by sending me those flowers. I'm glad he did though, "Made my head spin."
"It suits you." Kate says.
"Yeah, I think it does." I had my own job, got a promotion. Lived with Jimin, cooked for him. Dealt with women trying to steal my husband. I never thought I'd get this far.
"Except you don't see enough of your friends." Kate had a point.
"I know. I know. I'm sorry." I missed Kate. I'm glad she texted. It's been crazy with the whole Jack situation. I needed some girl time.
"I missed your face," Kate raised her Martini, "Cheers."
I raised my glass towards her as she pouted, "My sweetest friend."
"To your face." I joked.
Kate laughed, "To your plans." She added, almost choking on her drink as she laughed.
