It was a nice quiet night, the bar closed but so was his heart. He could hear a faint voice and some thudding but he didn't care enough to care.
But soon the noise became louder, smacking him in the ear like a sudden rush of waves. "..HEY LI! Do you hear me? I've been calling you for a while." Hu Li looked up and saw Nuwa ready with her jacket on. "Oh, were you about to leave?" Nuwa sighed. "I was about to- but after seeing you like this i feel bad. Ever since you broke up with Shun you have been looking at the ground all lost and shit. Do you have any idea about how many drinks you spilled because your mind was in the clouds!"
"Right... sorry. I'll do better." Nuwa furrowed her brows, a little angry. "A promise won't cut it Li! And what happened with Zhan- you should've apologised to him already! It will only continue to eat you up until you end it yourself! With an apology!"
Hu Li's face fell once more, now rubbing his eyes. "What happened has happened. There is nothing i can do to change it. He must hate me anyways so.." Nuwa rolled her eyes before grabbing her bag. "Fine then! Continue being a dick and see where that'll take your stupid ass!" Hu Li looked down at his ass as she left and then held it with two hands. "I have a nice ass.."
Then he shook his head and poured himself a glass of whiskey. He drank it in one shot, only to get a refill next second. Then another... and then another. It took him seven glasses to put his mind at ease, finally giving him some peace and serenity.
His eyes looked at the door, feeling a little lost just as Nuwa had said. She was right with every word about him. He was a complete mess. He wished to fix things with Zhan yet when there was no hope of success, there was nothing even he could do.
It was not like he would just walk in through that door and ask to talk.
But just then Xiao Zhan came in through the door, standing with uncertain eyes, head messy. Hu Li oh'ed. "So it did happen..." Nothing he had expected he thought as he poured himself another glass. "Well well, would you look at what the cat brought in. A... stray! Bunny! HAH!"
Zhan furrowed his brows. "I just came to talk... are you drunk?" Hu Li pointed his glass at him. "Are you drunk?" Zhan scratched his head as he walked closer. "Yes. I thought i might as well gather up the courage to talk now, instead of waiting for the morning to arrive. You okay with that?"
Hu Li shrugged. "When have you cared for what i think anyways? It's not like i am a significant person who has thought of your feelings and wanted the best for you." Zhan looked down. "You're right. And.. i'm sorry. I might've overreacted a bit. But you shouldn't have made such a horrible lie either!"
Hu Li pressed his hand over his chest and sighed. "You know i always think of a person's best interest. But maybe i have gone a bit far this time. I... apologise as well. I should've thought better." Zhan smiled slightly, later sighing in relief. "I'm glad this is the end of a quarrel, i really needed someone to talk to about this... pour me one too?" And so did the latter, later both enjoying their freshly opened drinks.
"So, what have you been up to? Let's catch up a little." Zhan hummed, thinking about the latest events in his life. "Well... i was to film a porn tape with a rich CEO who blackmailed me with releasing information about Yibo and his relation to this place and all. So that's that.." Hu Li chuckled as he took a sip from his cold beverage. "Right, i heard. But Yibo got shot for you? You two have been doing good then huh. Did you have sex yet? I have been curious you know.."
Zhan looked down, blushing slightly. "W-what... no.. i couldn't do such a thing..."
"Yet?"
