"So... i should start i suppose? Well, as i had predicted, there have been no real evidence found at Zhan's apartment from the break in. So we did some DNA testing on some of the objects which were presumably touched by the stalker, yet the only names that came up were... yours, Zhan's as the owner, and... Tang Tao, who is his manager if i'm correct. And also, about the car accident, if you'd be as kind as to give the information to Zhan- we found no registry of the licence plate as in, it's inexistent. The car was bought off from a cheap junkyard near the entrance of Beijing, and the person in question ran off before we arrived at the scene. There were disappointingly no fingerprints left. If he had, then we would've had a lead at least. A shame really.."

Yibo had been holding his breath throughout the one sided conversation, listening to Jiayi as carefully as he could. But once he was finished, he was ready to state his own opinion more than ever. "..so in the end you found nothing-"

"Hey- i did my part, you come be in my shoes if you'd like-"

"You--!!" Yibo held himself back and punched the wall in a slight motion to release his anger. "If i knew you'd be like this, i wouldn't have gone to you at the end- this is just ridiculous-" He could hear Jiayi sighing at the other end of the line as if he'd had enough as well. "Look, i can only assume the person behind it, but it seems these two situations are linked-"

"Well congrats you ass! I long figured that out as well!! Wanna add something useful for a chance?" After a moment of pausing Jiayi gave in and sighed. "..yes, as a matter of fact i do. You do know how there was an attempted break in at Zhan's apartment before it also happened to him. I investigated it further, and it just seems weird to me." Yibo rolled his eyes, yet listening to him anyways.

"Think about it. If he actually had no idea about which apartment Zhan lived in, then why would he only enter one mistakingly before miraculously finding his?" Yibo thought on it as well, finding it rather odd as he'd said. "...so you're saying that he broke in somewhere falsely in order to make it seem like he got it wrong...?" Jiayi yelled. "Exactly!! So it's someone we know. Someone who actually knows Zhan as well. But to not put the suspicion on himself, he acted as though he was clueless. A bit of a smart-ass but just as reckless.."

Yibo's eyes slowly pointed at Cui Yi who was coming his direction while his brows furrowed in anger. "You said there were only three finger prints." Jiayi took a moment to think, and upon realisation, he quickly made a motion of standing up before grabbing his coat. "I'll head there with an officer right away. Just don't do anything reckless?"

Yet Yibo had long hung up as he made his way towards his friend. "Hey, Yi. Do you know which room Tao is getting his surgery at?" Cui Yi blinked for a moment to understand his motive, but ended up helplessly tossing that thought aside after a mere second. Yibo was too complicated in any way to him. "The surgery is actually finished, so his room should be at the end of the hall. But he's probably still under anaesthesia, so i wouldn't really go to him now-........." Of course he didn't listen and began walking away.

Despite not having figured him out, he could see that he was probably up to no good and decided to get Zhan to him for help. And so the latter happened, Zhan and Duyi both on their way to Tao's room. Only upon arrival did their paths divide, Zhan deciding to enter himself to check. And he was glad he'd done so, as he saw Yibo about to rip the stitches off his leg.

As he saw that scene, he quickly reached out to him and hugged him from behind. Yibo paused at his actions, falling silent. "What... what happened? Tell me.."

"...it was him." Zhan's eyes widened, his tongue licking his dry lips like they hadn't been moist for a very long time. "He is the stalker that broke into your house. The police are on their way so... before they come... i want to finish this-" His arm then reached out once more, his fingertips grazing over the metallic thread. The bloody cracks that had formed on his lips began stinging upon getting wet, causing Zhan to irk his face slightly. His grip around Yibo's waist only tightened, his chest now leaned against his back so that the latter could hear his heartbeat.
