Yibo slammed the door behind him as he rushed inside the house. "What the hell was that?" Duyi furrowed his brows in return, his face faced the other way while taking his jacket off. "That? It is not simply that. I might be your friend, but that was a business meeting. I expect for you to respect me as your boss, but not treat me like some third rate party."

Yibo's furrowed brows added to his darkened gaze as he followed after him to the bedroom. "And so what? You just had to tell him that i was staying over at your house. You- you know how that would unravel. And you know very well of my feelings." Duyi shook his head as he took his top off and threw it on the bed. "Your feelings? What feelings? Because from what i could recall, you have been acting like he doesn't exist for the past couple of weeks. And just because someone came to take him away, only now you act? That is just pathetic-"

Yibo raised his hand and pushed him against the wall, his voice now deeper. "You don't know anything about what went between us. So you will not be the judge of what i do- or how i act-"

Duyi cut his words, pushing his face closer until he could feel his breath against his nose. "Sure as hell i will. If what you and Zhan have fought about makes even Shun dislike you, then i will be the judge of how you act and what you say." After a moment of saying so he sighed. His eyes lingered on Yibo's lips as he hesitantly pushed him away. "Look, i just want the best for you......... two. And your relationship with him is clearly not continuing the way you've wished. I did not say a word about it before, and even teased you. But that was only until then. Things have gotten way out of control now, and your reputation is already all over the floor."

Yibo looked away, sighing. "I just need my two actors concentrating on work right now. You have been through hell not once but twice because of him. And here i am, trying to fix things. But money can solve only so much. And that is the reason why i called you to the meeting. It was important that we discuss these matters. Your life doesn't revolve around him, Yibo." Yibo swallowed. "Of course not but-"

"No, no but's. When you can you only think of him, act according to him, run where he walks, jump where he falls. You loose yourself for him. Hell- you even jumped in front of the bullet to save him!" Yibo sighed. "I might be all those things you say, and you are right about taking work more seriously. But you do not understand that i WOULD leave all for him. I might act distant now because of a mistake i did, but that does not change the fact that i-"

"I don't... just... stop it. I don't need to hear your confession." Yibo looked at his wavering eyes, then later at his clenched fists. He saw the way his pupils grew big when he stared at him, and the way his voice trembled when he spoke so desperately to save him. But to save him from what? There was no such a thing as saving, when there was no such a thing to be saved from.

"Hey... Duyi, do you hear yourself right now?" Duyi furrowed his brows before looking away. "I'm just speaking as your boss and not-" But Yibo shook his head as he grabbed his arm. "No.. isn't it more than that?" The latter kept silent so he spoke once more. "For... how long now? For how long have you-"

"I said, i don't need to hear anything right now. You can leave. I won't be eating dinner either so, you can help yourself in the kitchen."

So Yibo stood silently until he grasped the situation, and then left without saying another word. This night was going to be long indeed.

But before those who slept knew it, it had already become half past ten. Not late, but definitely too late for a day filled with work. Zhan woke up from his sleep to find himself where he was seated this afternoon and groaned in pain. His back and neck were hurting from being in a sitting position for so many hours, that it did not even do him any good to stand up and stretch.
