Yibo pushed the door to Duyi's office room open without permission and walked in. The latter seemed as handsome as always, especially with the elegant way he was seated on his table. Yet his eyes seemed dead tired, and Yibo could guess why.

"It's unlike you to be entering without asking." Yibo crossed his arms as he stopped close to him. "You know, a lot of people are telling me that today." Duyi raised his brows with question. "That you're entering without permission?"

"What- no, that i'm not like myself when i take action." Duyi hummed, later standing up to go around the table. "Too obedient and careful so your actions wouldn't hurt him. I can understand why, but you should know that Zhan isn't exactly normal to be kind towards."

Yibo pointed his eyes at him with a frown. "Says the guy who went out of his way to take the blame because he felt guilty for assuming the worst about Zhan's effect on me. Tsk... you really were childish Duyi."

He had never thought he'd hear his name in that same sentence with the word childish. Yet here they were. The words sounding as clear as pure water. "I don't expect any kindness from you." Yibo looked to his side with unsure eyes as he came forward and leaned against the table. "Well, i wasn't planning to give you any. But you're still my friend. Although what you did was reckless and caused many misunderstandings, i can also understand that you wanted to cause less stress and be over with it."

Duyi listened intently as he crouched down under and took something out of the drawer. "But that also makes me question if it was me who was being controlled by Zhan... or if it was you who was being controlled by... me." The latter then slowly walked back around the table and came face to face with Yibo, now handing him the box in hand. "Is that why you made me pick this up in your stead?"

Yibo smirked as he grabbed the small black box and gave it a good look. "Not really- but i'm glad that it made you realise it." Duyi sighed. "It was hard to get it by the way, the waiting list was rather long. I had to go through a lot of connections to get it faster." Yibo raised his brows, slowly opening the delicate lid. "I thought you knew the owner."

"It was on auction before this. And i'm only so rich." Yibo hummed at the sight, later closing the box and putting it in his pocket. "You deserve the hardship. And well, your payment is on your account. So no worries." Duyi shrugged, crossing his arms. "Whatever. Just don't loose it."

Yibo raised his hand, waving it as he walked out. "You know i wouldn't." With that, he made his way back home. Yet little did he know of the state he was about to find the other two, who were cooped up by the couch.

"Wow... i knew that Cheng was a dick, but that just makes him worse." Zhan shook his head, looking down at the floor. "The worst thing is, Yibo now thinks that i have some weird trauma because of him. But... well.. i did flinch when we were kissing.."

Hu Li's eyes widened as he put the wine glass by his side. "You flinched? Are sure it wasn't because of what happened with Ch-" Zhan groaned. "Really now- i've had enough of hearing his name. It didn't happen because of that. But because... well..."

Hu Li sighed. "Just spit it out??"

"He... no one had ever been so kind to me. You know in bed i usually-" The latter paused him with the raise of his hand. "Yeah- no. First off, i would've called you out for being too unaffected by what happened with Ch- you know who. But, knowing how your mind works and of your... ahem... hobbies... i can understand that it wouldn't leave such a big trauma on you. So i think i understand."
