"It can't have been that bad." Dorcas said trying to avoid accountability.
"The study session lasted half an hour. We didn't really speak, when we did it was more of a debate and-"
"He's like that anyway, isn't he? Regulus is quite shy in a...recluse way." Vinny spoke up with a mouth full of sandwich.
"Recluse." Ramona repeated with a snigger muffled by her taking a sip of her drink.
"Mate..." I gave her a look.
"Maybe you were imagining it." Orla joined in, nonchalantly shrugging.
"Even Severus decided to pipe up about his behaviour." I replied.
"That's hardly proof." Orla and Ramona said at exactly the same time and in the same tone. Both pointing at each other afterwards with mutual respect.
"Why would I be imagining it anyway?" I voiced.
"Because you want to snog his brother and you're the one feeling weird about it." Orla replied simply.
"You told them?!" I snapped my head to Dorcas and Ramona.
"What is said in the group, stays in the group. Equally, what's said is shared." Ramona nodded without feeling shame.
"Especially if it's something like this, Grace. Come on now." Dorcas added with a laugh.
"Why?" Vinny said offended. "You wouldn't have told us you wanted to kiss Sirius, if they didn't tell us?" She added referencing to the Ravenclaws at the table.
Suddenly there was an amused cough sounding to the side of us.
"No, because you can't keep your voices down." I said lowly between gritted teeth, keeping my voice down around our new visitor.
"Lily, hey. Come sit!" Dorcas offered to her friend, who was also embarrassingly Sirius'.
"Sorry to interrupt." Lily still said holding back a smile and avoiding eye contact with me as she sat down in front of me, beside Dorcas. "The astronomy tower has been closed for repairs for two weeks. Apparently part of the ceiling has collapsed in."
"Oh no way?" Dorcas said.
"So I was just coming to tell you that study group next week we're all meeting outside of McGonagall's classroom."
"Noted." Dorcas said with a smile.
Lily was just about to get up again when Dorcas pulled her back down.
"Oh," she said as if she had remembered something. "Is your friend coming? I've heard he's one of the best in your year."
"He is, so why would he come to a study group?" Lily laughed.
