♫ White Winter Hymnal - Fleet Foxes ♫
———

"See you in January!" Vinny screamed, running off. In the direction most pure bloods did. Big plans for America on her horizon.

"Bye!" Orla chased after her, though she was going in the wrong direction. I spotted her Dad as I began to stare at the gateway, longingly.

"Have a merry Christmas, girls!" Dorcas grinned, just as she spotted her Mum in the distance wearing a little striped Christmas hat. Both as enthusiastic as eachother.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Ramona said, more relaxed. Us two being the only ones left, other than the flooding of other students filling around us.
"Bring your best dress options, remember."

All I could do was string together a bunch of 'yeah's ... my legs wanting to run as quick as the other girls had. Screw the pure blood Christmas party, I was desperate to see my loved ones.

"Go." Ramona laughed, picking up on my angsty behaviour and energetic jitters. She was met with a large smile and a rushed thank you.

So I ran, just like the other girls had. As if my life depended on it.

I pushed myself through the crowds of students and families. Many shooting me looks of disapproval in my journey to get to the moment they've quickly received.

Platform nine. Not three quarters.
Platform nine.
Platform nine.

MOVE! Was all that my lips could form and shout through the sound that was becoming increasingly louder. An urgency beginning to bubble inside me, knowing they were on the other side of the wall.

It hit me just how much I needed the real comfort of home. Not just imagining it. I could almost smell it, taste it. I could almost feel the tears beginning to swell in my eyes. Clouding my vision. Though my focus, quite physically, pushed me through.

I jumped the queue that was beginning to form, to get out of the magical station. A bunch of other muggle-borns in a similar position I was in. Usually I'd wait alongside them. Wait for my turn to run head first at the enchanted wall.

But it was different for me. It was this time.

"Hey!" I heard a bunch of them shout at me, though I didn't have long to focus on it. Sounds quickly being blurred by my body fusing with the brick. Until it spat me out into another realm of reality.

Calmer. A crowd of people, muggle parents and siblings. But less students.

I frantically looked around.

"Come on." I mumbled to myself, out of breath. My heart racing with the adrenaline that pumped me through and out of the magical station.

Until,
