LEGILIMENS,
Grace's POV.
———

"You know, it's a bit annoying really." Ramona whispered as we slowly walked from breakfast, as if they were going to hear us.

Vinny and Orla.

"They're best friends." I stated with a small shrug.
"Of course they're just going to go off the two of them. We do the same thing."

Ramona hummed, unimpressed despite the look on her face that suggested she saw some sense in what I said.

We were linked arm in arm, wandering to our first lesson after breakfast. Divination, which lately Ramona has become almost suspiciously interested in. Staying behind class to speak to Professor Onai and checking out a multitude of Divination books from the library; that even when we weren't talking, I curiously glanced at in our dorm room, when they were led out unaccompanied on her bed.

Last year she regretted even choosing it for an O.W.L, claiming to have only picked it for its ease but believing it was all 'wishy washy'.

I was often inclined to agree, although sometimes I thought it was a great tool to understand what you really wanted to be told or to know, by what your mind decided the cards, or crystal ball or tea leaves should mean. Despite literal definitions in our books, offering studious guidance.

Dorcas didn't take divination. Which was irritating, as yet again she was nowhere to be seen this morning.

Vinny and Orla, were, marching ahead deep in their own conversation.

"Have you decided what you're going to do yet?" Ramona asked lowering her voice as we started to ascend the spiralling staircase to class.

I sighed.

No, I hadn't.

I knew she made sense. I felt intuitively that I needed to question Sirius more than I have. At least more intentionally and seriously, ensuring that he couldn't just charm his way out of a question or dance around a direct answer as he often does. He was good at answering questions directly when he wanted to. Blunt, even. I knew deep down there was something more than what he's told me.

I just didn't know how to ask him without...being forceful and mean. Without pushing him away.

I didn't know how to get my questions answered - hell, I didn't even know what my questions were! Not completely.

'What aren't you telling me?' It's so vague. So easy to talk out of.

And there was another complication.

I really like him.

I've never liked anyone like this before.

He's my boyfriend. My first real boyfriend.
