HE'LL HUFF AND HE'LL PUFF AND HE'LL PUNCH YOU DOWN, Sirius' POV. ———
I slammed the door behind me, startling the boys.
James immediately took off the hoodie he was wearing as a veil and both Pete and Remus sat up straighter on their beds.
"You." I said with gritted teeth pointing my eyes in Remus' direction. He instantly relaxed into his position again, cocky and too calm after the initial shock of the sound to the door.
"Pads..." James sighed, already rolling his eyes at me.
"You." I repeated making my way closer to Remus' bed, ignoring the other two boys.
"Sirius...?" Peter mumbled and anxiously stood up from his bed, stumbling closer to James who was standing hands on hips with anticipation; staring between Remus and I like a tense game of chess.
"You need to forgive me. So we can all go back to normal." I almost spat to Remus, a frown so deep upon my face that my fists clenched at the downwards pull, as if my expression meant I were being pulled to the ground entirely.
He smirked, stifling a laugh.
I felt my left eye twitch.
"Fuck you."
"Mate this isn't the time..." Peter tried to intervene but James shook his head, almost to say 'no, let them'.
"Try again." Remus said nonchalantly, but I knew he was trying to provoke me. He knows no reaction at all, is the worst kind.
"You think you're so better than me, don't you? I've apologised a thousand times and you're still being fucking weird and messing up everything we're supposed to be as mates." I said starting to flex my hands.
Remus' eyes shifted downwards, before gliding back up to meet my face again. This time dropping his smirk, for a steady and firm expression.
"You gonna hit me?" He asked in a low voice.
I didn't reply.
"Go on. Hit me."
My temples started to pulsate.
"Hit me." He taunted.
I almost felt my vision shut down for a second. A blurred fainting feeling wash before my eyes, paired with a lightheadedness.
"You're not even worth it."
"Ah." He returned to his smirk. "No one to do your dirty work for you this time, is that it?"
"I wouldn't get you to scratch yourself up more than you already have." Fell from my mouth before I could even consider the implications.
"Whoa, mate," James finally spoke up. "Not cool." Peter said showing his teeth awkwardly.
Remus' smirk froze on his face, but his eyes dropped to a dead expression. An uncanny expression that instinctively made me take a small step backwards.
