Gang is all here as they changed into their swim suits, for Billy and Anastasia they stayed on site, Billy was calm around the kids. Hadn't even said one mean word to them other than to Max. It's normal for him to do that anyways. Sitting next to Billy, Anastasia smiled and took one of his hands.
"So do you have plans this summer or is it just work, work." She kindly smiled to him.
"Well I do an to work some of the days, but I got this girl you see. I think she might need my attention. And I want to give it to her as much as I can."
"Well then she is very lucky to have you then."
"What about you?"
"Well as long as my papa doesn't need me to travel with him. I might stay here and see if this interesting guy would like to go to California with me. But here's the deal thou.. I would need to bring his step sister."
California? His home? He could go back to surfing? Bring his step sister? Right Neil. "Are you sure you want to bring her?"
"Well only if she wants to go. To the both of you I think that the two of you can get long with our Neil forcing you to do shit."
He patted her hand. "That's what Max said to me last night. But I just don't know. I feel like they pushed my mother out of the way."
"Billy." She place her other hand under his chin. "That wasn't Max's fault. Her mother did the same thing as you father. Do you think that maybe you might forget her if they came into your life. And that's why you don't care for them."
'Don't care for them... That's one way of putting it.' Billy looks down and then up at Anastasia as he looks away from her. "I guess."
Patting his cheek Anastasia got up. "Well it's her choice if she wants to go. Billy you are a better man than you dad is or ever will be." She winks at him as she takes the cover off of her bathing suit. "Since the kids are about to eat, you want to go for a swim?"
"I'd love to." Billy grins as he is ready to go in.
They swam for a long time even the kids joined in too after waiting for a while. Billy didn't really notice Lucas He wanted to avoid him as possible. Out of the pool to dry off, Billy sat down. "Are you sure you want to take me and Max to California?"
"Yes, besides papa's friend Ricky has a house right by the water. I have been there a couple of times. Since Ricky doesn't go anymore since his wife has passed. I asked if I could take you and Max to stay for a few weeks. Besides, after the hard work you do for my papa, you need a get away and so does Max."
"What do I need a get away from?" Max had hopped out of the pool and get some water and some more sunscreen. "Mind if you put this on me Ana?"
"I don't mind." Max sat in front of Ana. "Well I'm taking Billy to California and I wanted to know if you wanted to come?" Rubbing the sunscreen on her back.
"How much money do we need to bring?"
"Well if you have spending money then please do bring it. But this trip is on me."
"Your not doing this because you feel bad for us are you?"
Billy would love to hear this. "Nope. I'm doing this because the three of us need a get away from here and just to have fun it will only be two weeks. Food is already bought, and tickets have been made."
"I could drive." Billy is always willing to drive. Hell he loves to drive.
"You could but that wouldn't be fair since I don't know how just yet and Max is to young."
"No really, I love to drive. My car is my baby."
"Alright, only if you want too. I won't fight you there." Which is fine she just wanted him to relax and not have to worry about anything.
"Good, I'm in. Max?"
"Sure, only if my mom is okay with it."
"I already did. she said that I had to ask you and it was up to you."
"Billy?" Max asked.
"Do you think that Neil would care if I went or not Max?"
"No, I just wanted to make sure if it was okay for me to come."
"I don't care, to get out of this hell hole is fine with me."
This hell hole was her home. Coming from Billy she gets it. Ripped away from a place that he loved so much. "Sounds like a plan then."
